About Team
Digital Pharmacy team is responsible for bringing the pharmacy at Walmart to the digital and mobile customers. We have upgraded the apps and the Walmart website to allow customers to fill prescriptions via the app before they visit the store, check the status of the orders and make payments right through the app. Working with pharmacy data gives us unique sets of challenges in terms of meeting compliances and regulations with respect to the sensitive data. Walmart is investing heavily in enhancing the capabilities within pharmacy and providing a more holistic experience to the customer. This provides a unique opportunity at Walmart Labs to build the technology required for the next gen pharmacy.

What you'll do
As an iOS Developer you would be responsible for: 
•    Working with peers in maintaining the Walmart iOS app or the sub modules. The Walmart iOS app had over 2.5 million daily active users and over 10 million in downloads. This provides the unique challenge of building to scale.
•    Collaborate with peers and work with Architects to design and develop and co-own the feature delivery.
•    Instrument and trace bugs and performance gaps for the app. Identify and build tools and libraries to help in the process.
•    Build POCs to develop and showcase platform specific capabilities to merge with Walmart use cases.
•    Providing, unique to Walmart, Omni Experience to the customers. Providing the capability for the customers to start a process on the app digitally and resuming it after at the store physically.

What you'll bring

• 3+ years as an iOS Developer with deep understanding of iOS UX and UI design paradigms, and ability to implement and design iOS apps.
• Experience in Swift is a must.
• Good understanding of Basic Data Structures and ability to come up with complete algorithm and code for problems. Ability to derive time complexities of algorithms.
• Experience with iOS frameworks such as Core Data, Core Animation, etc.
• Understanding of Apple’s design principles and interface guidelines
• An Object Oriented philosopher with experience understanding and applying OO design patterns.
• Experience integrating iOS apps with RESTful APIs.
• Desire to work in a fast paced, agile, collaborative environment.
• Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs
• Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization
• Versed with Reactive Programming.

Your Qualifications:

• Bachelor's /Masters with > 3 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in analyzing complex problems and translating them to algorithms with due attention to computational efficiency and testing at scale.

What you'll do:

As a software engineer (Frontend) you will develop feature sets that involve Responsive UIs with Restful Services and ensure a seamless product experience:

• Excellent proficiency in front-end technologies Excellent proficiency in front-end technologies (ReactJS, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, GraphQL, NextJS, webpack, babel, Jest, RTL and related frameworks).

• Software development by providing engineering patterns to deliver the optimal product, including implementing design patterns. Work closely with peers and senior engineers/architects.

• Partner with UX, product owners and business SMEs to analyses the business need and provide a supportable and sustainable engineered solution. Ensure that the overall technical solution is aligned with the business needs.

• Build reusable React components with Typescript & modular CSS, own the end to delivery of shipping software at scale.

• Measure and resolve performance bottlenecks, using tools like Chrome DevTools, Lighthouse, Webpage test, or custom tooling.

• Deep understanding of React, Node.JS and its core principles 

• Experience in creating and/or consuming RESTful web service

• Stay current with latest development tools, technology ideas, patterns and methodologies, share knowledge by clearly articulating results and ideas to key stakeholders.
   

What you'll bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline.

• Minimum 3 years of experience in React development.

• Extensive experience building web applications using MVC frameworks (ReactJS) for customer facing applications.

• Excellent debugging and problem-solving capability.

• Logging & Monitoring tools like Splunk, OpenObserve, Grafana etc.

• Excellent debugging and problem-solving capability.

• Understanding of frontend security and performance.
   

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in computer science or related discipline with minimum 3 years of relevant industry experience.

• 3-7 years of experience in development of building highly Responsive UIs using HTML, CSS, JavaScript & ReactJS,NextJS, GraphQL

• Familiarity with modern front-end build pipelines and tools.

• Excellent debugging and problem-solving capability.

• Understanding of frontend security and performance.
