We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Global Infrastructure Disaster Recovery Engineer to join our Global Infrastructure team. This individual will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining disaster recovery (DR) solutions for critical infrastructure systems across the organization. The role requires expertise in risk assessment, recovery planning, and execution to ensure business continuity in the event of system outages, cyberattacks, or other disruptions. The ideal candidate will work closely with IT teams, compliance teams, business units, and external vendors to develop robust recovery strategies and ensure the organization's resilience in a global environment.

Disaster Recovery Design
• Design and implement advanced disaster recovery solutions, leveraging cloud-based technologies, virtualization, and automation tools.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and trends to enhance DR capabilities.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify critical systems, applications, and data that require recovery solutions. 45%
Testing and Validation:
• Assist with the execution of quarterly/ad-hoc disaster recovery drills and simulations to validate the effectiveness of DR plans working with business continuity and compliance teams.
• Improve DR solutions based on findings of the DR Testing and Validation. 30%
Incident Response and Recovery:
• Lead recovery efforts during infrastructure outages or disasters, ensuring rapid restoration of critical systems.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to minimize downtime and maintain service levels. 10%
Training and Awareness:
• Provide training to IT teams and business units on disaster recovery protocols and procedures.
• Promote awareness of DR technologies and their importance across the organization. 15%

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Relevant certifications such as Certified Disaster Recovery Engineer (CDRE), Business Continuity Certified Planner (BCCP), or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) are a plus.
Experience:
• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in disaster recovery, infrastructure engineering, or a related field.
• Proven track record of developing and executing disaster recovery architecture/designs for large-scale, global organizations.
TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIREMENTS
• Strong knowledge of infrastructure systems, including servers, storage, networks, and cloud platforms (AWS & Azure).
• Strong knowledge of backup/recovery tools (Veeam, Commvault, Rubrik, Zerto, Azure Backup, Azure Site Recovery, etc.).
• Proficiency in virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
• Experience with automation tools and scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python).
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills under pressure.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across diverse teams.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on documentation and process improvement.
PHYSICAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS
This role requires working in a global environment, occasionally outside regular business hours to support infrastructure deployments or critical issues.
0-5% Travel may be required. Tuesday to Thursday in office
