Your Role: As a Senior IT Enterprise Support Engineer, your role will involve implementing the vulnerability management program within the organization. You will be responsible for identifying, assessing, and remediating vulnerabilities across endpoints to ensure the highest level of security. Collaboration with cross-functional teams will be crucial in implementing proactive measures and maintaining a robust vulnerability management process. Additionally, you will be responsible for upgrading and maintaining endpoint images with a focus on automation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Endpoint Vulnerability Management: Risk Assessment: Analyze and prioritize vulnerabilities based on severity, potential impact, and exploitability. Collaborate with stakeholders to determine appropriate risk mitigation strategies.

  • Vulnerability Remediation: Develop and implement comprehensive plans to address identified vulnerabilities on endpoints within defined timelines using scripting tools such as Python, PowerShell, Bash, etc.

  • Patch Management: Coordinate and oversee the patch management process, ensuring timely application of patches and updates to mitigate vulnerabilities and maintain system integrity.

  • Vulnerability Monitoring and Reporting: Establish and maintain a system for ongoing vulnerability monitoring. Develop reports on vulnerability trends, status, and progress to keep stakeholders informed about the overall security posture.

  • Incident Response Support: Provide expertise and support during security incidents, assisting in the investigation, containment, and remediation efforts as required.

  • Research and Innovation: Stay updated with the latest security trends, emerging threats, and industry advancements in vulnerability management. Identify opportunities for process improvements and recommend innovative security solutions.

Endpoint Image Development, Support, and Maintenance:

  • Develop scripts to upgrade endpoint images when the latest versions are released by vendors.

  • Investigate and provide escalation support to technicians regarding image sets.

  • Analyze results, identify technical or support process improvements, and implement changes.

  • Prioritize, schedule, and administer instances where enhancements and defect resolution are required.

  • Communicate application problems and issues to key stakeholders, including management, development teams, end users, and unit leaders.

  • Test fixes and perform post-resolution follow-ups to ensure problems have been adequately resolved.

  • Maintain and enhance the performance of all new and existing software and applications across the organization.

  • Provide support for testing new and existing software applications under development or consideration for purchase.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • 5+ years of technical support experience preferred.

  • 5+ years of experience supporting Mac/Windows /Mobile Device Management and Applications.

  • 5+ years of experience with Patch Management, including vulnerability detection, scripting, and remediation.

  • 5+ years of scripting skills preferred (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Python).

  • General knowledge of Local Area Networks and troubleshooting.

  • General knowledge of common information security practices.

  • Ability to investigate and analyze information and draw conclusions.

  • Ability to communicate technical guidance and instruction to users on the use of applications and systems.

  • Effective interpersonal skills to work as a team member.

  • Proficient in Excel, including use of formulas, pivot tables, data filtering, and conditional formatting for analysis and reporting.

  • Understanding of basic network and system architecture.

  • Project Management: Participate, propose, and/or lead complex internal projects, coordinating with different departments.

  • Proven ability to identify and timely resolve user IT issues up to the Tier 2/3 level.

  • Strong expertise in device, operating system, software, and application troubleshooting and deployment.

  • Superior customer service and communication skills.

  • Ability to collaborate with multiple teams across multiple internal departments: Systems Operations, Infosec, Business Operations.

  • Must have experience using MSP software such as JAMF/SolarWinds/ConnectWise or related tools.

  • Experience with SCCM/MDT/WDS/Intune.

  • Configuration and management of Windows & Mac desktop environments, including VMs, Terminal Servers, AD, DNS, and Group Policy knowledge.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
