Job Description
We are looking for an experienced and driven Cloud Security Consultant with a strong interest in securing cloud environments (especially Microsoft Azure). In this role, you will play a key part in implementing and maintaining robust security measures for critical cloud systems and services across a variety of industries. You will contribute your expertise to hands-on technical tasks as well as strategic initiatives related to cloud security architecture, monitoring, and risk mitigation.
You will work closely with clients and colleagues to deliver high-quality advisory services, ensure alignment with industry standards, and support the development of tailored cloud security solutions. This role provides an excellent opportunity to deepen your specialization in cloud security – a field that is becoming increasingly vital to modern digital infrastructure and societal resilience.
Key responsibility:
- Implement technical security controls: Take ownership of security-related tasks, including the design, configuration, and deployment of technical controls in complex cloud infrastructures (primarily Microsoft Azure) to protect networks, applications, and data.
- Identify and remediate vulnerabilities: Detect vulnerabilities and misconfigurations in cloud architectures (leveraging Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) and Cloud-Native Application Protection Platform (CNAPP) tools) and drive the implementation of effective remediation strategies.
- Lead and execute cloud security assessments: Conduct risk and maturity assessments for cloud environments based on established frameworks such as ISO 27XXX, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, and CIS Benchmarks, providing clear recommendations for improvement.
- Enhance monitoring and incident response: Design and implement cloud-specific security measures and detection capabilities – including integration of cloud logs and services with SIEM solutions (e.g., Microsoft Sentinel) – in close collaboration with SOC and monitoring teams to improve threat detection and response.
- Documentation and compliance support: Develop and maintain technical documentation and high-quality reports to support clients’ cloud compliance and security objectives, ensuring adherence to standards like ISO and CIS Benchmarks.
- Continuous improvement: Contribute to the continuous improvement of internal methodologies, tools, and processes related to cloud security services, staying up-to-date with emerging threats and new cloud security technologies.
We believe you have the following qualifications and personality skills:
- Cloud platform experience: Hands-on experience with cloud environments (especially Microsoft Azure), including architecture design, service integration, and lifecycle management of cloud services.
- Cloud security expertise: Strong understanding of cloud security principles and best practices, and their role in protecting critical systems and sensitive data in the cloud.
- Enterprise and hybrid experience: Proven experience with enterprise cloud security architecture and operations, including addressing challenges related to hybrid cloud integration, network security, identity and access management, and governance.
- Standards and frameworks knowledge: In-depth knowledge of relevant security standards and frameworks such as ISO, NIST CSF, and CIS Benchmarks (and other relevant cloud security standards); experience applying these in real-world projects is a strong advantage.
- Security tools proficiency: Experience with cloud-native security and monitoring tools – for example, CSPM solutions, CNAPP platforms, and SIEM/SOAR integrations – and using them to secure and monitor Azure cloud environments.
Personal Qualities
- Proactive and self-driven with a strong professional interest in cloud security and continuous improvement.
- Structured and detail-oriented, with the ability to independently manage complex tasks and projects.
- Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills, with experience working across multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent communication abilities in both Norwegian and English, capable of conveying complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences alike.
We offer:
- The opportunity to work with leading cloud technologies on exciting projects across multiple industries.
- A key position in a growing cloud security team, where your expertise directly contributes to shaping future services and strategies.
- A collaborative and professional work environment with strong focus on ongoing development through advanced training, certifications, and knowledge-sharing among peers.
- Ongoing professional development through challenging projects, certifications, and collaboration with skilled colleagues.
- A visible and significant role in Telenor Cyberdefence, where you have the opportunity to make an actual difference in society.
- A job in a diverse international group of companies with many career opportunities, where you will have the possibility to develop and grow professionally.
- Competitive compensation package and new and modern office at Telenor Fornebu
This position offers a unique opportunity to combine your technical expertise in cloud security with strategic advisory work, addressing complex security challenges in cloud adoption and operations.
The last day for applying is 13.06.2025. We will conduct interviews ongoing as we receive applications.
