We’re looking for a confident HR Consultant to deliver practical, commercial advice across a diverse client base, driving impactful people solutions and supporting organisational change.

Why join us

WorkNest is part of Axiom GRC (Governance, Risk and Compliance) backed by Inflexion, a leading mid-market private equity firm. Our growth continues with our recent expansion into cyber security through the acquisitions of Pentest and Bulletproof.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our HR Consultancy team. Your role will be to deliver high-quality, practical, and commercially-focused HR consultancy to a portfolio of clients across a wide range of sectors. You’ll provide advice on a breadth of HR matters, from employee relations and restructuring to policy development, organisational change and performance strategies, ensuring our clients receive trusted, pragmatic support.

Working both independently and collaboratively, you’ll help shape the client experience and play a key role in driving service excellence within WorkNest.

What We Offer

  • Salary: £40,000 - £43,000 per annum depending on experience
  • Great Benefits
  • Opportunities for professional growth and development
  • A supportive and inclusive work culture
  • Hybrid working: 2 days in our Glasgow, Aldford or Horsham office, 3 days from home

What we’re looking for

We’re looking for a highly experienced, confident HR professional with broad generalist knowledge and strong employment law understanding. You’ll deliver tailored consultancy services across your client portfolio, managing ER cases (including complex disciplinary and grievance processes), leading restructuring projects, advising on absence and capability matters, and supporting organisational development initiatives such as performance frameworks and engagement programmes.

You’ll take the lead on key accounts and high-value client projects - planning and delivering activity, managing expectations, and ensuring high standards of advice and service. Your ability to work with stakeholders at all levels will be critical, particularly when guiding organisations through change or sensitive matters.

You’ll manage a portfolio of key client accounts by maintaining relationships, addressing concerns, and identifying opportunities to support business growth and client retention. Looking for opportunities to contribute to company success by promoting services, supporting proposals, attending events, and driving team efficiency through continuous improvement.

As well as working on a retained basis, you’ll support ad hoc consultancy assignments and internal referrals, helping to grow our offering and support business development opportunities. You’ll also play a part in reviewing HR documentation, leading recruitment projects, developing training programmes, and contributing to HR strategy for our clients.

We’re looking for someone with:

  • Significant practical experience in a busy HR environment or consultancy.
  • Strong employment law knowledge and a commercial mindset.
  • A confident, professional manner, excellent client relationship and influencing skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple complex HR cases and projects at once.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (especially Outlook, Teams, Word and Excel).
  • A flexible, proactive approach and willingness to travel when required.

CIPD Level 7 is desirable, as is experience in recruitment, appraisal frameworks, training delivery, and organisational development.
