Position Summary
As a Cyber Security Architect is responsible for designing and implementing robust cyber security solutions to protect the organization from potential cyber threats. This position will work closely with cross-functional teams to assess current security measures, identify vulnerabilities, and develop strategies that enhance our overall security posture. The incumbent will play a crucial, hands-on role in safeguarding our digital assets and ensuring the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of our information systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Develops and implements a comprehensive security architecture that aligns with Casella’s business goals, objectives, and various regulatory requirements.
- Designs and reviews security solutions, including but not limited to firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, antivirus software, and encryption protocols.
- Conducts regular risk assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities and recommends appropriate security measures by performing company-wide testing.
- Collaborates with stakeholders to prioritize and address identified risks, creating security architecture elements that ensure timely and effective mitigation strategies.
- Develops and maintains a company-wide incident response plan to rapidly address security incidents.
- Leads investigations into security breaches and collaborates with internal teams to implement corrective actions.
- Creates a framework for delivering cyber security programs and solutions that balance business requirements with security needs to reduce exposure and promote a culture of security consciousness.
- Provides for the development of training materials for implementation by the IT technical support and training team to elevate the overall security awareness of the organization.
- Participates in training and other learning opportunities to expand knowledge of the company, products, sales, and services and performs any other duties needed to help drive our vision, fulfill our mission, and/or abide by our core values.
- Ensures compliance with all company, state, and federal policies, regulations, and laws regarding employment and employee safety.
Education, Experience & Qualifications
The successful candidate will have In-depth knowledge of cyber security principles, technologies and best practices. Strong understanding of risk management and mitigation strategies. Ability to work in a fast paced environment and evolving cyber threats. Prorficency in programming, coding, testing and debugging technologies. Ability to manage complex tasks and multitask; Experience or interest in environmental and/or sustainability field; Understands ISO 27001/27002, ITIL, and COBIT frameworks and Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Cybersecuirty or Information Security or equivalent experience
