Let’s start with the role
A Senior Security Engineer in Kaizen Gaming is a vital part of the Information Security Team, responsible for ensuring the appropriate Security Controls are in place across our IT Infrastructure. This role encompasses aspects of Application Security, DevSecOps and Cloud Security, contributing to a holistic security posture. Kaizen Gaming's operations span across numerous diverse regions, each presenting unique risk landscapes. The security configurations implemented must comply with specific information security requirements across a plethora of different technologies dictated by laws, regulators, licensing bodies, and industry security standards. The Senior Security Engineer, working collaboratively within the team and other internal and external stakeholders, will actively participate in identifying and addressing security risks. In this role, the Senior Security Engineer is expected to play a key role in ensuring that the design, specification, implementation, and operation of security controls supporting our systems and networks consistently align with Kaizen Gaming’s information security policy. Finally, in alignment with the broader objectives of the Security Engineering team, the Senior Security Engineer will contribute to the continuous enhancement of Kaizen Gaming’s Security Controls and measures through the evaluation and integration of new technologies and advanced controls. As a Senior Security Engineer, you will:
- Contribute to the design, implementation, and maintenance of application security controls across the IT infrastructure, including cloud environments, to secure Kaizen Gaming’s SDLC process;
- Contribute to the security of applications by identifying vulnerabilities and mitigating security risks;
- Support the implementation and management of cloud security best practices and controls for platforms such as Azure Cloud and Gitlab;
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of security documentation, policies, and procedures;
- Carry out security assessments to identify potential weaknesses;
- Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure security is integrated throughout the technology stack;
- Stay up to date with the latest security threats, trends, and technologies in DevSecOps, Application Security, and Cloud Security;
- Assist in the evaluation and implementation of new security tools and technologies;
- Contribute to the automation of security tasks and processes;
- Support compliance efforts with relevant laws, regulations, and security standards (e.g., GDPR, PCI DSS, ISO 27001).
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience);
- Familiarity with at least one public cloud provider (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and cloud security concepts;
- Strong understanding of application security concepts, common vulnerabilities (e.g., OWASP Top 10), and secure coding practices;
- Exposure to DevSecOps principles and the integration of security into CI/CD pipelines is a plus;
- Basic scripting skills (e.g., Python, Bash) are desirable;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills;
- A proactive and eager attitude towards learning and professional development in the field of Security.
