As a member of the TELUS Cyber Threat Intelligence Team, within the Chief Security Office, you will be part of a growing national team which is leading efforts to monitor and distribute awareness around emerging cyber threats to TELUS internal stakeholders and external clients. 

 

As a Security Consultant, you will Join a team that pushes proactivity in the field of cyber security by gathering intelligence on the newest threats and malicious trends that are out there and help isolate and assess these trends and their implications, allowing our stakeholders to better prepare to face them ahead of time. In addition, the team uses threat hunting and cyber research to conduct detection and discovery actions within TELUS security toolsets and networks. 

 

 

What you will do


 
●    Conduct threat-hunting activities. This will include IOC reviews, discovery and detection actions using TELUS security toolsets.
●    Combine internal and external threat intelligence data sources into adversaries' Tactics, Techniques and Procedures (TTPs) to provide context to threats posed to TELUS. 
●    Maintain high engagement with internal and external threat intelligence stakeholders through monthly touchpoints and advisories.
●    Have excellent collaboration skills which you use to both partner with others and to obtain alignment on your ideas and recommendations

 

Qualifications


What you bring


 
●    Minimum 2 years of  hands-on experience in security domains (operations, incident response, threat intelligence, security research, security automation) 
●    Understanding of the threat intelligence life cycle, kill chains and experience in application of these models in an operational setting
●    Direct experience in security technologies such as endpoint and network tools. In addition, hands-on experience with threat intelligence tool sets is desirable.
●    Excellent Business acumen with hands on experience working with cross-functional teams, including operations and other technical support teams.
 

 

Great-to-haves


 
●    CISSP, CISM/CISA, SANS certifications 
●    Role-specific training and certifications, such as SANS GSEC, GCTI 
●    Bilingual English and French is an asset.
