Chief Information Security Officer

Chief Information Security Officer  Description Ayla Networks is the leading IoT platform provider for manufactures of consumer and commercial products. We focus on serving the leading OEM, Service Provider, and Retail partners in the consumer smart home market.  We are looking to hire a Chief Information Security Officer   This individual contributor position reports to the CEO and can be based anywhere in North America.  A remote work presence will be fully supported. Occasional travel is expected and necessary to be successful in this role and will include customer, Board of Director and internal collaboration meetings and events. What you will be doing 

• Business-level security strategic and tactical planning 

• Driving Ayla’s ISO 27001, ISO 27018 information security management system 

• Drive Ayla’s internal Privacy Program including being Ayla’s Data Protection OfficerDriving improved security visibility for Ayla’s IoT device manufacturers 

• Evaluating, selecting and implementing AI tools for security 

• Foster a security-first attitude across all the company’s sites, US and international 

• Serve as Ayla’s security expert in discussions with Customer CISOs, industry gatherings, vendors, and amongst internal stakeholders (Product Management, Engineering, etc.)  

• Occasional North American and some international travel to visit with Ayla’s teams around the world 

     Required Skills & Experience 

• 10+ years’ experience where security management was the focus of the role(s) including: 

• Enterprise risk management 

• Selection of technical controls including review/recommendation of security related tools 

• Monitoring on non-technical, technical controls 

• Incident Management Program development/oversight 

• Access Control Reviews 

• IT related controls – VPN, firewall, *PKI, internal Phishing simulation 

• Experience with Agile development processes, such as SCRUM 

• Security Certifications: CISSP or CISA 

• Privacy Certifications: CIPP/E, CIPM 

• Experience briefing senior executive staff 

• Experience writing, updating policy documents 

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering or scientific field 

Desired Skills 

• Experience as a developer 

• Experience with build systems Jenkins, SonarQube, Make, Circle/CI and similar 

• Experience with Static Code Analysis and Software Composition Analysis tools 

• Typical Unix/Linux administration knowledge  

• Database experience including SQL  

• Experience with Postman and/or curl  

• Coding experience with Unix shell (sh/csh/ksh), C, Java and Ruby/Python 

• Additional Privacy Certification: CIPP/US 

• Experience briefing the board of directors 

• Master’s degree, or Bachelor’s degree in a cyber-security major
