Akamai Technologies, Inc. is hiring for the following role in Cambridge, MA (multiple openings): Security Architect. Associate. Act as frontline defense in detecting and mitigating the impact of cyber attacks. Engaging in mitigation techniques to prevent vector attacks. Performing advanced packet analysis to identify attacks and threats to our network. Managing and documenting technical issues, responses and requests to ensure information is recorded and updated. Providing support to customers to remedy and resolve network and connectivity issues. Communicating with customers regarding challenges and providing updates and results on your mitigation and analysis. Telecommuting permitted from anywhere in the United States.[AG1372]

Required Qualification:

Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Cybersecurity Management, Telecommunications and Network Engineering, Business Management, or Telecommunications Systems Management, plus 18 months of experience in the job offered or closely related technical role. Must have: One (1) year of experience with the following: Azure, DNS, HTTP, DHCP, Subnetting, Linux, Nmap, Armitage, Bloodhound, Firewalls, Wireshark, IPsec, OSI- Model, DNS troubleshooting, and AS400.
 

Compensation:

Akamai is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The base salary for this position ranges from $85134 - $105476/year; a candidate’s salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location.

The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of annual bonus or incentives, equity awards and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP).
