POSITION PURPOSE:
The Technical Quality and Compliance Manager leads the IT department’s quality assurance, documentation, and audit compliance initiatives. This role ensures organizational adherence to compliance standards such as PCI, SOX, and CCPA while continuously improving quality processes. The position is responsible for managing documentation for IT systems and supporting successful completion of audits by maintaining strong compliance and technical governance practices.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Oversees all technical quality assurance processes, ensuring best practices are followed in system development, documentation, and audit readiness. Leads QA testing, issue identification, and improvement initiatives.
• Manage the IT documentation process including the creating, updating, and maintaining all documentation for IT systems, processes, implementations, compliance-related documents, and user guides so that they are aligned with company and regulatory standards.
• Ensure that all IT documentation efforts are accurate, comprehensive, user friendly and are aligned with EPL QA standards, system configurations, implementation procedures.
• Leads compliance efforts related to PCI, SOX, and CCPA. Coordinates internal and external audits, implements identifies gaps or risks in meeting regulatory requirements, implements corrective actions, and monitors adherence to such standards.
• Ensure the company is in compliance with IT related regulations and industry standards.
• Collaborates with business units to align compliance needs with operational goals. Supports quality control and risk mitigation efforts across departments.
• Implements and manages compliance tools and systems, ensuring secure data handling and effective compliance monitoring.
• Documents and enforces compliance governance, standards, and QA best practices across IT operations.
• Provides training and support on QA and compliance procedures, equipping staff with the knowledge to follow regulatory and documentation protocols.

QUALIFICATIONS – EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS:

The requirements listed below are representative of the education and/or experience required.

Education/Work Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field preferred. Minimum 5+ years of experience in quality assurance, compliance, or IT auditing. At least 2+ years of supervisory or leadership experience preferred. Demonstrated experience with compliance standards such as PCI, Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX), CCPA, or similar regulations.

License/Certifications:
• None

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Proficient in QA testing and compliance tools such as Jira, Selenium, and compliance audit software.
• Strong knowledge of PCI, SOX, and CCPA compliance standards, audit processes, and documentation requirements.
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills to support the QA and compliance team.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills for identifying and mitigating compliance risks.
• Ability to plan and prioritize tasks under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to coordinate across technical and non-technical teams.
• Strong attention to detail, process orientation, and technical documentation ability.
• Ability to provide one-on-one consultancy and training to internal stakeholders.
• Proactive and flexible approach to organizational and regulatory changes.
• Ability to work at the Support Center consistent with the hybrid work policy.

The pay range identified is the hourly or salary rate El Pollo Loco expects to pay for the posted position. This range does not include any benefits or bonus opportunities that might be available for the position based on position and eligibility criteria.
