Venesco LLC is looking for DevSecOps Architect. The DevSecOps Architect will play a pivotal role in driving technology adoption across the client’s enterprise. This individual will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing DevSecOps practices and tools to enhance the efficiency, security, and reliability of software development and deployment processes.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of both development and operations, with a strong focus on security, and will work closely with various stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and adoption of DevSecOps methodologies.
In this role you will:
- Design and implement DevSecOps strategies and frameworks tailored to the needs of the client.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security practices into the software development lifecycle.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate and streamline deployment processes.
- Ensure compliance with security standards and best practices across all stages of development and deployment.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to development and operations teams.
- Conduct regular assessments and audits to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously enhance DevSecOps practices.
- Facilitate training and workshops to promote DevSecOps culture and practices among stakeholders.
Required Skills:
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in software development, operations, or security roles, with at least 3-5 years in a DevSecOps capacity.
- Technical Expertise: Proficiency in DevSecOps tools and technologies such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, Terraform, and others.
- Security Knowledge: Strong understanding of security principles and practices, including vulnerability management, threat modeling, and secure coding practices.
- Cloud Platforms: Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, including infrastructure as code (IaC) and cloud security.
- Automation: Proven experience in automating build, test, and deployment processes.
- Collaboration: Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with development, operations, and security teams.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and address technical challenges.
- Compliance: Familiarity with compliance frameworks and standards relevant to the defense sector, such as NIST, DoD RMF, and FedRAMP.
Desired Skills:
- Military Experience: Prior experience working with military or defense organizations.
- Leadership: Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to drive change and influence stakeholders.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications such as Certified DevSecOps Professional (CDP), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer.
- Agile Methodologies: Experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
- Scripting: Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Monitoring and Logging: Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or Splunk.
- Container Security: Knowledge of container security tools and practices, such as Aqua Security, Twistlock, or Clair.

Education:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
