CACI is seeking a skilled and motivated Cybersecurity Service Provider (CSSP) Analyst at the Journeyman level to support our cybersecurity operations for USSOUTHCOM. This role is responsible for performing day-to-day cybersecurity analysis, monitoring, and incident response activities to ensure the protection of critical networks.  

Key Responsibilities:  

  • Monitor and analyze network traffic, security logs, and alerts to detect and respond to potential security incidents. 

  • Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify security weaknesses in systems and networks. 

  • Assist in the implementation and maintenance of security tools and technologies, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and SIEM systems. 

  • Participate in incident response activities, including initial triage, analysis, and remediation of security events. 

  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of cybersecurity policies, procedures, and best practices. 

  • Collaborate with other IT and security teams to address identified vulnerabilities and improve overall security posture. 

  • Prepare and deliver regular reports on security status, incidents, and trends to team leads and management. 

  • Stay current with emerging cyber threats, attack techniques, and defense strategies. 

Required Qualifications:  

  • Required Certifications (Must possess one): Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) OR Red Hat Certified Specialist in Security: Linux 

  • Conditional Alternative Certifications (Considered): GIAC Defensible Security Architecture (GDSA) OR Microsoft Certified: Security Operations Analyst Associate (SC-200) OR (ISC)² Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) OR ISACA Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) 

  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.  

  • 3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity or related IT fields.  

  • Strong understanding of network protocols, security concepts, and common attack vectors.  

  • Experience with security tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, and vulnerability scanners.  

  • Familiarity with compliance frameworks (e.g., NIST, RMF) and DoD cybersecurity policies.  

  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills with an ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities.  

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 

  • Experience in DoD or government cybersecurity operations.  

  • Familiarity with Linux and Windows operating systems.  

  • Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation tasks.  

  • Experience with cloud security concepts and technologies. 

  • Must possess an active secret clearance

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$68,400-$143,700
