CACI is seeking a dynamic and experienced Cybersecurity Service Provider (CSSP) Support Lead will direct and oversee our comprehensive cybersecurity support functions for the U.S. Southern Command (USSOUTHCOM) in Doral, Florida. This senior technical leadership role is responsible for the overall management, operational effectiveness, and strategic direction of the CSSP team, ensuring the successful defense of critical networks. The CSSP Support Lead will manage a multi-disciplinary team comprising cyber engineers, developers, analysts, and technicians. This position requires leadership availability and oversight, potentially including response coordination outside standard hours to support mission requirements and ensure continuous operations. This senior leadership role aligns with advanced cybersecurity management and oversight functions within the DoD 8140 framework.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead, manage, mentor, and develop a diverse team of cybersecurity professionals (engineers, developers, analysts, technicians). Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment. Oversee staffing, resource allocation, and performance management for the CSSP team in support of USSOUTHCOM communication services
Build, install, configure, test, deploy, and maintain dedicated cyber defense infrastructure hardware and software (e.g., servers, operating systems, security applications) (KSAT 2772).
Perform advanced system administration tasks for Linux-based systems, including security hardening, patching, and performance tuning. Manage virtualization environments (e.g., VMware, KVM).
Utilize and manage automated deployment and configuration management platforms (e.g., Kubernetes, Ansible Tower, PowerShell) to ensure efficient and consistent infrastructure management.
Troubleshoot and diagnose complex infrastructure anomalies, performance issues, and security tool conflicts, working through to resolution (KSAT 6700, 643A).
Maintain and administer the infrastructure supporting cyber defense tools such as IDS/IPS, SIEM, and other security applications (KSAT 59A).
Implement and manage host/network access controls, VPNs, and ensure adherence to network security architecture principles (KSAT 49, 81A, 148, 1072).
Document infrastructure configurations, maintenance activities, and troubleshooting efforts. Provide recommendations for tuning infrastructure components and security tools. Ensure relevant infrastructure status reporting meets JFHQ-DODIN timelines per CJCSM 6510.01B.
Assist in identifying, prioritizing, and coordinating the protection of critical cyber defense infrastructure (KSAT 960). Understand and apply relevant cyber defense policies, procedures, and risk management processes (KSAT 984, 108). Assess the impact of implementing and sustaining infrastructure changes (KSAT 5090).
Ensure all CSSP activities comply with relevant DoD directives (including CJCSM 6510.01B reporting requirements), policies, and legal/regulatory standards. Oversee the generation and delivery of required reports.
Oversee risk management activities within the CSSP's purview. Advise leadership on identified risks and recommend mitigation strategies. Ensure security best practices are implemented and maintained.
Provide high-level technical guidance and direction to the team. Ensure the effective implementation and tuning of cybersecurity tools and technologies, making recommendations based on operational needs and risk posture.
Contribute to budget planning and manage allocated resources effectively to meet CSSP operational requirements and strategic goals.
Provide leadership oversight during major cybersecurity incidents, ensuring effective coordination, response, and reporting.
Required Qualifications:
Required Certifications (Must possess one): Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) OR Red Hat Certified Specialist in Security: Linux
Conditional Alternative Certifications (Considered): GIAC Defensible Security Architecture (GDSA) OR Microsoft Certified: Security Operations Analyst Associate (SC-200) OR (ISC)² Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) OR ISACA Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)
Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree (BS) in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Management, or a related field is required. A Master's degree is preferred.
A minimum of 7-15 years of progressive experience in cybersecurity is required, including at least 5-7 years in a significant leadership or management role overseeing cybersecurity operations, preferably within a DoD, CSSP, or large enterprise SOC environment.
Proven experience leading multi-disciplinary technical teams (engineering, operations, analysis).
Mandatory Experience: Demonstrated hands-on experience with Linux operating systems (RHEL preferred), Virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, KVM), and automated deployment/configuration management platforms such as Kubernetes, Ansible Tower, or Microsoft PowerShell scripting.
Experience working within DoD or Federal government environments and familiarity with DoD cybersecurity policies, STIGs, and network security architecture is highly desirable.
Expert-level knowledge of Linux system administration, security hardening, networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs), and infrastructure best practices.
Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python, PowerShell) for automation and system management.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills related to complex infrastructure issues.
Expert-level knowledge of cybersecurity principles, frameworks (NIST CSF, RMF), standards, and best practices.
Deep understanding of CSSP functions, requirements, and relevant DoD directives (e.g., CJCSM 6510.01B).
Strong strategic planning, organizational, program management, and problem-solving skills.
Exceptional leadership, communication (written, verbal, presentation), and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with senior leadership, technical teams, and external partners.
Must be available to provide leadership oversight and support outside standard hours as required by mission needs or significant incidents.
Must possess an active secret clearance

The proposed salary range for this position is:
