Senior Cloud Security Architect (AWS)

Location: London, Manchester and Cheltenham, hybrid. This role is required to travel across three office locations. The amount of travel and onsite presence will vary week-to-week up to 3 days per week onsite.

Salary: £120,000-£140,000

SC Clearance Requirements:

Due to working with a number of government bodies, SC clearance is required for our customer facing teams. You do not need active SC clearance as we will undertake checks upon you joining, but you must be eligible to pass SC clearance. In future, DV clearance may be required, so the ability/willingness to pass DV clearance is advantageous but not essential.

You must be UK-based.

What We're Looking For

We are looking for a Senior Cloud Security Architect with extensive knowledge of the key security risks that are present when using AWS at scale. and how these can be prevented, detected and remediated.

For us, this means experience of cloud security and risk management with a strong appreciation for cloud compliance and security standards.

It also means you will have experience of building enterprise AWS security strategies, and will have in-depth knowledge of AWS security services such as; GuardDuty, CloudTrail, CloudWatch, SecurityHub, Inspector, KMS, Macie, Secrets Manager and IAM.

What You'll Be Doing

You will be working closely with our customer's key stakeholders, designing and providing expertise across AWS cloud security.

• Designing solutions to prevent, detect and remediate key security risks that are present when using AWS

• Ensuring the client’s enterprise security strategy, managing risks, compliance, and threat mitigation 

• Understanding complex AWS security requirements and designing secure, scalable and resilient solutions

• Designing and providing the technical governance over the delivery of significant security aspects on the cloud

• Responsible for the security operations of the platform, ensuring that the platforms are safe from external and internal threats

• Ensuring adherence to Well Architected principles across the client’s enterprise solutions 

• Designing and delivering workloads using a wide range of AWS services including; GuardDuty, CloudTrail, CloudWatch, SecurityHub, Inspector, KMS, Macie, Secrets Manager and IAM

• Providing technical leadership to cross-functional teams, defining technical direction and strategy of teams and systems

Interview Process

• Screening call with our Talent Acquisition team

• 1st Interview - 30 minute remote interview with our hiring team

• 2nd Interview - 60 minute remote technical interview with members of our architecture team

• 3rd Interview - 60 minute in person interview with members of our Senior Leadership Team
