About the role

At Lifebyte Systems, we are dedicated to establishing a secure digital landscape through innovative technology and proactive security measures. As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced IT Security Manager to lead our security initiatives and safeguard our organization's assets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership and Management:
    • Lead and manage the IT Security Team
    • Develop and implement IT security strategies, policies, and procedures
    • Coordinate with other departments to ensure comprehensive security measures are in place
  • Security Strategy and Implementation:
    • Design and implement security architectures and frameworks
    • Ensure the protection of IT assets through appropriate security measures
    • Stay updated on the latest security trends, threats, and technologies
    • Oversee the detection, analysis, and response to security incidents
    • Develop and maintain incident response plans
    • Conduct forensic investigations and coordinate recovery efforts
  • Risk Management and Compliance:
    • Identify and mitigate IT and cybersecurity risks
    • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards
    • Conduct regular security assessments and audits
  • User Training and Awareness:
    • Develop and deliver security training programs for employees
    • Promote security awareness and best practices across the organisation
    • Evaluate the effectiveness of training initiatives and adapt as necessary
  • Monitoring and Reporting:
    • Monitor security systems and networks for potential threats
    • Report on the status of security measures and incidents to senior management
    • Provide recommendations for continuous improvement in security practices

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field with relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH) are highly desirable
  • 7-10 years of experience in IT and cybersecurity, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing security strategies
  • Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles, technologies, and best practices
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
  • Proficiency in security tools and technologies (e.g., SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls)
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
