Job Description: 

CACI is seeking an experienced and dedicated Cybersecurity Project Manager to lead information technology projects within the U.S. Strategic Command (USSTRATCOM) Cybersecurity Service Provider (CSSP). This role directly aligns with the DoD 8140 Cyber Workforce Framework work role for Information Technology (IT) Project Manager at the Intermediate level. The successful candidate will be the primary project manager, responsible for planning, executing, and delivering IT projects that provide unique services or products within the CSSP, ensuring cybersecurity requirements are integrated throughout the lifecycle. This role includes overseeing the work of, mentoring, and developing a junior project manager. This position requires availability for project oversight and coordination, potentially including support outside standard hours to meet mission and project deadlines.

Responsibilities: 

As the Cybersecurity Project Manager, you will lead and manage IT projects within the CSSP, including but not limited to: 

  • Project Management: Directly manage all phases of assigned cybersecurity-related IT projects (initiation, planning, execution, monitoring & controlling, closure) using appropriate methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall). Manage project scope, schedule, budget, resources, and quality (KSAT 107, 680A). 

  • Requirements & Security Integration: Lead capabilities and requirements analysis efforts (KSAT 16). Ensure security practices, principles, and requirements are defined and integrated throughout the project lifecycle and acquisition processes (KSAT 129, 325A, 1018, 1148B). 

  • Risk Management: Develop and implement methods to monitor and measure project risk, compliance, and assurance efforts (KSAT 108, 537). Oversee project-related supply chain risk management activities (KSAT 979, 1037). 

  • Performance Monitoring & Improvement: Identify and track key performance indicators, taking corrective actions as needed (KSAT 203). Lead ongoing optimization and problem-solving efforts (KSAT 811). Perform needs analysis and recommend improvements or upgrades (KSAT 760, 813). 

  • Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary project stakeholder and liaison (KSAT 5010). Manage relationships with IT process owners and stakeholders, defining agreements (e.g., OLAs) (KSAT 5410). Coordinate and manage service delivery aspects related to the project (KSAT 5150). Gather and act on stakeholder feedback (KSAT 5380). 

  • Mentorship & Oversight: Oversee the work of, mentor, train, and guide the professional development of a junior project manager. 

  • Reporting: Oversee project status reporting, risk registers, and compliance documentation. Ensure necessary data is collected and available for organizational reporting requirements, including potential inputs for JFHQ-DODIN reporting per CJCSM 6510.01B. 

  • Tuning Recommendations: Provide recommendations for tuning project management processes, resource allocation strategies, or scheduling based on project performance, risks, and stakeholder needs. 

  • Additional Duties: Perform other related project management and leadership duties as assigned to meet mission requirements and support USSTRATCOM objectives. Depending on experience and team structure, this role may involve working under direct supervision or potentially providing guidance, training, or supervision to others. 

Qualifications: 

Required Certifications (Must possess one): 

  • (ISC)² Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) 

  • ISACA Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) 

Conditional Alternative Certifications (Considered): 

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or ITIL v4 Foundation (or higher) combined with CompTIA Security+ CE (or higher CompTIA certification like CySA+, CASP+). 

Education & Experience: 

  • Bachelor's degree (BS) in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field is required. 

  • A minimum of 7+ years of related work experience is preferred, with a strong emphasis on managing IT or cybersecurity projects. 

  • Experience working within DoD or Federal government environments and familiarity with DoD project management practices, cybersecurity policies, and RMF is highly desirable. 

  • Proven experience managing projects through the full lifecycle. 

  • Strong knowledge of project management principles, methodologies, and tools. Knowledge of IT service management concepts (e.g., ITIL) is beneficial (KSAT 1133). 

  • Solid understanding of computer networking concepts, cybersecurity principles, and risk management processes (KSAT 22, 1158, 108). 

  • Experience with requirements analysis and stakeholder management (KSAT 16, 5010). 

  • Demonstrated leadership and mentoring capabilities. 

  • Excellent organizational, communication (written, verbal, presentation), and interpersonal skills. 

  • Proficiency with project management software (e.g., MS Project, Jira) and standard office tools. 

  • Must be available for project oversight and coordination, potentially requiring work during non-standard hours (rotating shifts) to meet mission and project deadlines. 

  • Must possess an active or be eligible to acquire Top Secret w/ SCI security clearance.

Pay Range: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:

$70,900 - $148,900
