Role Overview

• Leading the global Security Architecture & Engineering team accountable for the security technology strategy, and 'secure by design' principles through our Product, and Engineering teams.
• You will ensure the delivery of a security technology roadmap and support the wider Architecture and Engineering teams in the delivery of secure and compliance solutions and services. 
• This includes working with teams across Planet to enable secure design principles and the implementation of required security technologies to be understood and followed

What you will do

• Define and oversee the security architecture strategy and roadmap.
• Lead and provide coaching and development for a team of security architects, application and platform security engineers.
• Enable a secure engineering approach to product design and delivery through secure design patterns, secure software development and testing automation, 
• Drive the security engagement with the product and engineering teams and  ensure security requirements are being baked in at the start.
• Deliver a risk-based and automation-led approach to security engineering practices.

Successful in leading and developing high performing teams and individuals.

Demonstrable experience on successfully executing on strategy and continuous security improvement in a fast-paced commercially focused environment

Risk-focused and pragmatic in security architecture thinking and delivery.

Effective at articulating technical security risks and what needs to be achieved in straightforward terms.

Extensive experience with working Product and Engineering team in a regulated / PCI compliance Financial Services / Payments organisation.

Exposure to multiple technology environments including services hosted on cloud platforms.
