Job Description:

We're looking for a Cyber Range Engineer who thrives at the intersection of network architecture, cybersecurity, and scenario development. In this role, you’ll design and build complex, highly realistic virtual environments that emulate operational networks, enabling the safe and controlled testing of advanced cyber capabilities.

From crafting custom traffic generators to developing adversarial scenarios and evaluating mission readiness, your work will replicate real-world cyber threats and help ensure that our technologies and teams are ready for anything.

This is a Hybrid position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and architect complex computer networks within the cyber range, ensuring it mirrors real-world environments

  • Manage and maintain range infrastructure, including physical and virtual equipment, networking, and virtualization technologies

  • Ensure that security tools, such as firewalls and security monitoring platforms, are properly configured and integrated into the range.

  • Set up and manage traffic generators and attack generators to simulate realistic user behaviors and attack scenarios

  • Troubleshoot and maintain the cyber range components, ensuring its functionality and reliability.

  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to understand their needs and ensure the cyber range meets their requirements

Required Skills and Experience:

  • BS degree in Computer Engineering, Network Engineering or related field and 8+ years of related professional experience

  • Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility

  • Strong understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and technologies, including DNS, DHCP, NTP, Syslog, etc

  • Experience with configuring and administering networking devices like firewalls, switches, and routers

  • Experience with managing virtualized infrastructure and building networks with virtual equipment

  • Knowledge of cybersecurity tools, configurations, and operational tools

  • Familiarity with scripting languages like Bash, PowerShell, Batch, and Python, as well as Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform and Ansible

  • Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose network and system issues.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with various stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with agile development methodologies

  • Familiarity with test automation tools like Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, Appium, etc.

  • Familiarity with test automation frameworks

Salary Range: $100,900.00 - $176,600.00
