Job Title: Senior Manager of Accounting Transformation
Location: Herndon 1-2 days, remote 3-4
Summary:
We are seeking an accomplished and forward-thinking professional to join our team as a Director of Accounting Process Innovation. Reporting to the Chief Accounting Officer, this strategic role will be instrumental in shaping and optimizing our financial process and establishing global best practices by leveraging technology.
The Director of Accounting Transformation will be responsible for leading the implementation of our ERP system and collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand and address dependencies with interconnected systems. The candidate should have strong technical accounting experience, be analytical with demonstrated problem-solving skills, possess excellent communication and organizational skills, be able to work efficiently with a high degree of accuracy.
Responsibilities:
Lead the end-to-end implementation of our ERP system, ensuring seamless integration with processes and technologies in accounting and across the business.
Develop and execute a comprehensive technology strategy for the accounting function, leveraging ERP solutions and other relevant technologies to drive process efficiency and accuracy.
Document existing business processes and policies and define and document new business processes.
Identify opportunities for automation and optimization within our accounting processes, leveraging technology and other accounting best practices.
Collaborate with IT, finance, and other departments to ensure alignment of business objectives across the company.
Utilize data analytic tools to extract meaningful insights, enhance decision-making processes, and drive continuous improvement within the accounting function.
Implement robust internal controls within the ERP system to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Provide training and support to finance teams to ensure optimal utilization of the ERP and related system functionalities.
As needed, play an active role in the due diligence process for acquisitions including reviewing policies, concluding on accounting treatments, performing purchase accounting, and building and executing on the integration plan.
Lead the coordination of managing external valuations on significant acquisitions and acting as a liaison between external valuation experts and the external audit team.
Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
Licensed CPA preferred; public accounting experience preferred.
10+ years of accounting experience preferably in the tech industry.
5+ years management experience.
Experience implementing complex accounting systems and processes.
Strong technical accounting background with a thorough knowledge of US GAAP, SOX, and SEC reporting standards, as well as experience with technical research and preparation of accounting position papers
Able to maintain high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
A solutions-oriented team player with excellent critical thinking and analytical skills.
Excellent communication skills as well as ability to effectively use accounting knowledge to collaborate, guide, and interact professionally with a wide range of personnel at various levels within the organization to drive sound business decisions.
Strong organizational skills and ability to meet tight deadlines.
Passionate and enthusiastic about remaining up to date on current trends and practices.
Advance proficiency in MS Office Suite (especially MS Excel).
A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is:
$153,300.00-190,299.00 USDThe actual salary offered may vary within the range based on a candidates' unique experience, locale, and business needs. In addition to a base salary and bonus plans, Everfox offers a generous benefits package including flexible PTO, a 401k match, and contribution to healthcare coverages.
