As a member of the Global Safety and Security team, reporting to Capital’s Head of Global Safety and Security, you will be responsible for implementing the global safety and security strategy and modifying as needed to enhance the safety and security of Capital's senior leaders and business operations. You will work proactively with key stakeholders, leaders, and partners to identify and mitigate safety and security risks that have the potential to impact Capitals’ leaders and business operations, and you will be a leader in the Global Safety and Security team.
Directs and manages global security operations center program, including:
1) Technology Support and Integration: Manage the service support model for security technologies (access control, identity management, video management, intercoms) and oversee the integration, maintenance, and management of security technologies to ensure operational systems and secure office environments.
2) Global Intelligence and Incident awareness: Maintain awareness of global incidents and events by utilizing intelligence tools, situational awareness tools and surveillance platforms, to maintain a robust awareness of the security environment across the globe.
3) 24/7/365 Global Asset Monitoring: Ensure continuous monitoring of global offices, events, travelers, executive movement, intelligence feeds, weather, geopolitical events, security systems, surveillance cameras, and alarms to detect, assess, and respond to potential threats and concerns promptly.
4) Critical Event Management and Communication: develop and lead response efforts during safety and security incidents, including unauthorized access attempts, natural disasters, and security or medical incidents while ensuring swift and effective resolution to protect associates, assets, and company reputation. When necessary, send awareness and status checks on risks impacting associates, events planners, and offices.
Provides guidance for new technologies and methodologies as business needs evolve; evaluates new or modified end-to-end systems, processes and/or products versus internal security standards to identify potential solutions to further secure Capital Group operations:
1) Supports and guides the build out and maintenance of security systems, applications, and solutions to enable Capital's enterprise physical security program in partnership with Capital's Information Technology and Information Security teams; also supports and guides the maturity of Capital Group’s Global Security Operations Center.
2) Creates, coordinates, and implements a global safety and security intelligence program that proactively assesses risk to Capital associates and business operations and incorporates identified risks into the larger Global Risk Management risk program.
Drives Cross-Functional Collaboration:
1) Collaborates and coordinates with internal colleagues and stakeholders across Global Risk Management, Office Services, Information Technology Group, Engineering, Corporate Real Estate, and various business groups to identify problems and recommends/implements solutions in a proactive and timely manner to mitigate safety and physical security risks.
2) Coordinates with security vendors, engineers, consultants, and contractors across the globe to ensure adherence to contractual agreements and, if necessary, modify existing agreements.

Please note, this position does require you to be based out of our Irvine, CA location.

You have a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
You have a minimum of 7+ years in a corporate security or a government role leading or working in an emergency management environment or team conducting security operations, travel safety and security, and event/incident monitoring and reporting.
You have the ability to work/cover on-call responsibilities as well as a willingness to react to emergencies as they occur on a 24/7 basis.
You are experienced with incident response, security intelligence, travel security, crisis management, and have the ability to maintain control under stressful situations.
You maintain knowledge in current and possible future policies, practices, trends, technology and information affecting the department/business area.
You demonstrate proficiency in security system management including intermediate system architecture and advanced knowledge of operational functions and security best practices.
You have willingness to take the initiative, prioritize projects and problem solve with little supervision, and the ability to maintain control under stressful situations.
You are experienced with open source and subscription-based monitoring tools.
You are an excellent written and oral communicator, and an effective presenter conducting both group and individual presentations.
You demonstrate sound judgment to independently handle/advise on a wide range of issues and strong relationship management.
You can manage deliverables independently and with a high degree of efficiency.
You have strong organizational skills and a demonstrated ability to handle simultaneous priorities.
Southern California Base Salary Range: $158,975-$270,258
In addition to a highly competitive base salary, per plan guidelines, restrictions and vesting requirements, you also will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, plus Capital’s annual profitability bonus plus a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings.
