Student Assistant - Global Security and Business Resilience (Intelligence)

Global Security and Business Resilience (GSBR) is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented student intern to join our Threat Intelligence team. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in intelligence analysis, global risk monitoring, and corporate security operations within a dynamic, multinational business environment.

The intern will report to the Head of Threat Intelligence and work closely with members of the GSBR function to support global security operations, enhance threat visibility, and contribute to resilience initiatives across the Company. The role will involve monitoring and analyzing open-source information, generating actionable insights, and supporting the production of intelligence reports that inform decision-makers at all levels.

Note: This is not a cyber-focused role. The primary focus is physical and geopolitical threat monitoring, risk analysis, and corporate resilience support.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor open-source intelligence (OSINT) channels, social media, and threat intelligence platforms to identify emerging threats relevant to the Company’s people, assets, and brand.
• Provide timely and concise written summaries of threat activity to key stakeholders within Threat Intelligence, Global Security and Business Resilience, and Safety and Resilience teams.
• Conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis to assess potential risks to Company operations globally, including political instability, civil unrest, natural disasters, and other non-cyber security concerns.
• Assist in the production of tactical and operational-level intelligence reports to support security decision-making and business continuity planning.
• Support crisis response activities as needed by providing real-time situational awareness and contributing to incident tracking or after-action assessments.
• Develop familiarity with the Company’s Threat Intelligence Framework and apply it in research and assessments.
• Collaborate with team members while also working independently to meet project deadlines and organizational priorities.

Required:

• Currently enrolled in a master’s degree program in a related field.
• Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Ability to synthesize large volumes of information and communicate findings clearly and concisely.
• Self-starter with a high level of initiative, curiosity, and professional maturity.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple priorities.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with strong skills in Word and PowerPoint.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English is required.

Preferred:

• Familiarity with global security trends, geopolitical risk analysis, risk management, or threat intelligence practices.
• Experience working with OSINT tools or monitoring platforms (e.g., Dataminr, Flashpoint, or similar).
