The Position:
We are seeking an experienced Systems Vulnerability Engineer to add to our Security Operations team.  The Systems Vulnerability Engineer will be responsible for identifying, analyzing, and mitigating vulnerabilities across our digital infrastructure. This role requires a deep understanding of cybersecurity principles and extensive experience with Microsoft Intune, Mosyle, and Azure Patch Manager. The ideal candidate will be proactive in implementing security measures to protect against potential threats. This role reports to the Manager of Security Operations.

This is a hybrid role located in either Southport, CT or NYC. 

The Game Plan:
(What you will do)

• Vulnerability Assessment: Conduct regular vulnerability assessments using Microsoft Intune, Mosyle, and Azure Patch Manager to identify potential weaknesses.
• Mitigation Strategies: Develop and implement effective mitigation strategies to address identified vulnerabilities and reduce risk exposure.
• Patch Management: Oversee the patch management process using Microsoft Intune, Mosyle, and Azure Patch Manager to ensure timely updates and remediation of vulnerabilities.
• Security Monitoring: Continuously monitor systems for signs of compromise and unusual activity using the specified tools.
• Incident Response: Collaborate with the security operations team to respond to security incidents and validate potential new vulnerabilities.
• Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of vulnerability assessments, mitigation strategies, and incident response actions.
• Package software updates: Assist the Manager of Endpoint Security in managing Microsoft Intune.
• Training and Awareness: Provide training and guidance to staff on best practices for vulnerability management and mitigation.
• Stay up to date with the latest security trends and endpoint management technologies.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Other duties as assigned.

The Stats:
(What to bring)

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in vulnerability management and mitigation.
• Expert knowledge of Microsoft Intune and Microsoft Entra.
• Experience with vulnerability assessment tools and patch management processes.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST, ISO).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

The Company is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices.  The base compensation range for this role is $95k - $120k per year.  Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as a candidate’s relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location.
