I2X Technologies is seeking a Software Applications Test Engineer to support ongoing activities for a customer in Colorado Springs, CO. This position will be on-site and will require an active Secret Clearance. 

• As member of the Regional Applications Agile Release Train (ART) this position will:
  • participate in software design and peer reviews
  • develop test specifications and infrastructure
  • execute manual and automated test
  • perform analysis of program implementation in an integrated environment or to test specific capabilities for interfaces or infrastructure in support of operations (e.g., Internal Messaging, control and monitoring, message and display recording and playback, failover processing).
• Occasional Travel between Colorado Springs facilities/sites and between Colorado Springs and Huntsville, AL is expected.

Qualifications

• Technical Bachelors Degree (Mathematics, Science, Engineering, or Computer Science) or significant professional experience. Masters degree highly desired.
• 5 years of professional experience
• IAT Level II Certification within 60 days of start (strictly enforced)

• Prior experience in an Agile development process

• Prior experience testing and verifying requirements in software applications/systems

• Conducting post-processing and analysis of collected data

• Development of action plans based upon analysis of data

• Documenting software deficiency reports

• Presenting analysis results and plans of action orally and/or in written format (e.g., slides, annotated slides, test report document)

   

• Automated testing for requirement verification

• Performance requirement and verification analysis

• Verification of ICD and interface requirements

• Experience in a DevSecOps environment extremely desirable

• Knowledge and experience in testing and evaluation of a software-intensive system in a variety of test environments/venues, utilizing Agile development

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will regularly sit, walk, stand and climb stairs and steps. May require walking long distance from parking to work station. Occasionally, movement that requires twisting at the neck and/or trunk more than the average person, squatting/ stooping/kneeling, reaching above the head, and forward motion will be required. The employee will continuously be required to repeat the same hand, arm, or finger motion many times. Manual and finger dexterity are essential to this position. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, depth perception and telling differences among colors. The employee must be able to communicate through speech with clients and public. Hearing requirements include conversation in both quiet and noisy environments. Lifting may require floor to waist, waist to shoulder, or shoulder to overhead movement of up to 20 pounds. This position demands tolerance for various levels of mental stress.
