The following position is to join our RTX Corporate Global Ethics & Compliance team:

RTX Global Ethics & Compliance (“GEC”) has an outstanding career opportunity for a Director and Counsel, Anti-Corruption Compliance to lead, grow, and transform the RTX Anti-Bribery and Anti-Corruption (ABAC) compliance program. The Director will be responsible for leading all aspects of the ABAC program, working closely with GEC and business leaders to drive a strategic, proactive, collaborative, and harmonized approach to enterprise-wide compliance with ABAC laws, regulations, and company policies.

This position is for an experienced Director and will report to the Vice President & Counsel, Global Ethics and Compliance Program. The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing and executing on a strategy to drive a “OneRTX” program that: aligns on and implements best practices; engages with key leaders across the business to improve the understanding and communication of ABAC initiatives; employes robust risk assessment processes and leverages data to identify and prioritize risk areas and drive mitigation measures; establishes and maintains training requirements, best practices, and digital tools to support the program.

This role requires the successful candidate to partner extensively across RTX and BU GEC functions, as well as with key partner functions, including Internal Audit and the Controllership, among others, to effectively drive and support the ABAC compliance program.

What You Will Do:

The successful candidate will work well in a high-energy, fast-paced environment, developing relationships with internal customers and collaborating with multiple business functions as a trusted business partner in providing leadership and guidance on ABAC topics and championing our values. The responsibilities of the Director will include:

  • Lead the RTX ABAC global compliance program using industry best practices, processes, and tools.
  • Advise and counsel RTX and its businesses on all aspects of global ABAC laws, and company policies and procedures.
  • Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of relevant policies, procedures, standard work, guidance, templates and other documentation, including those relating to third party management, gifts and gratuities, and screening and due diligence.
  • Oversee the execution of corporate ABAC policies within the RTX Corporate office, including third party screening and due diligence, gifts and gratuities, and charitable contributions.
  • Partner within GEC and with Internal Audit, Controllership and other relevant functions to conduct comprehensive ABAC risk assessments, analysis of same, and continuous monitoring activities to proactively identify, assess, and mitigate ABAC risks throughout the RTX enterprise.
  • Develop and deliver focused and relevant trainings and communications on ABAC laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders on ABAC-related investigations and internal audits, including the development and implementation of corrective actions.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Juris doctor with ten (10) years of experience in a law firm, federal government agency, or in-house counsel for a large, multinational corporation, with at least five (5) years of relevant anticorruption compliance experience.
  • Admitted to practice law in the U.S., with active bar membership in at least one state.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract 
  • Expert knowledge of relevant laws and regulations, e.g., Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, U.K. Bribery Act, etc.
  • Demonstrated experience working within a cross-functional, matrixed organization
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of SAP and similar ERP systems
  • Experience setting and drafting policy and procedure documentation

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Federal government experience, and specifically relevant experience within the Department of Justice, is strongly preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated ability to deliver crisp, relevant messaging up, down and across the organization.
  • Demonstrated history of collaborating well with others and managing multiple deadlines simultaneously.
  • Excellent judgment, and demonstrated ability to constructively and appropriately provide compliance leadership to internal business customers.

Hybrid: Employees who are working in Hybrid roles will work regularly both onsite and offsite.  Ratio of time working onsite will be determined in partnership with your leader.

The salary range for this role is 176,000 USD - 352,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
