Seeking qualified candidate for a small, diverse team that provides end-to-end software, systems, and network engineering services to support Integrated Discovery Operations (IDO). You will lead, evolve, and maintain a dynamic, modern DevOps architecture, often based on open-source technology and not relying on corporate baselines, to support software developers, phased system upgrades, compliance, and improvements aimed at ensuring continued execution of the IDO mission. We aim to improve availability and reliability, reduce latency, and optimize performance, while maintaining the security posture.

Job Responsibilities/Qualifications:

  • Design, maintain, monitor, and support operations and maintenance (O&M) activities of a large enclave comprised of various hardware, software and network components to include server architecture, virtual machines, managed switches, NAS, VLANs, and VPNs.
  • Develop and carry out strategies to migrate existing customers to new architecture and technology with minimal impact. Evaluate new technologies or equipment that can be added to Agency standard solutions
  • Administer network including installing, configuring and maintaining network devices; configuring various routing protocols; troubleshooting multi-hop connectivity, throughput, and latency; setting up firewalls.
  • Responsible for secure infrastructure and vulnerability corrections, data security, compliance, and backups and recovery. Maintain SSPs, STE/STN requirements, Netseer, SEAR logging, patching, IAVMs, McAfee, and UAM.
  • Responsible for user-level support, including interacting with system-savvy developers and analysts, resolving network, computer, and virtual system issues & anomalies.
  • Maintain enclaved documentation (network diagram, system names, IP addresses, barcodes, etc.); provide monthly activity report to include system outages.
  • Familiarity with Docker, MongoDB, and Elastic Search; Ansible and GitLab; RedHat Satellite  
  • Working knowledge of software-defined networks
  • Experience deploying and maintaining nginx; system monitoring platforms like OpenVAS, Prometheus and Grafana; SELinu​x and FIPS​.
  • Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field plus a minimum of (11) years of relevant experience or a master’s degree with nine (9) years of relevant systems administration experience. An associate’s degree with ten (10) years of relevant experience or a high school diploma/GED with thirteen (13) years of relevant experience may be considered for individuals with in-depth experience that is clearly related to the position.
  • Industry certification requirement: IAT Level II Certification (Security +, CSA+, CCNA Security, etc.)
  • Security Clearance requirement: Candidates must possess an active TS/SCI with Polygraph to be considered for this role.
  • Desirable Skills: Knowledge of LatteArt/Biscotti, Netseer, SEAR logging.

Pay Range $112,450.00 - $203,275.00
