We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic cybersecurity leader to join our Cybersecurity Platform team. As the Senior Cybersecurity Platform Lead, you will be responsible for the technical leadership, integration, and lifecycle management of enterprise-wide security infrastructure. You will guide the operational excellence and strategic evolution of key platforms such as firewalls, EDR, SIEM, email security, and others within a hybrid environment.
This role requires a visionary leader with deep technical acumen, strong operational discipline, and a passion for building secure and scalable platforms that support business and security objectives.

This role can be based out of one our main offices including: Stellarton, NS; Mississauga, ON. Calgary, AB; Burnaby, BC.
Here’s where you’ll be focusing:
Key Responsibilities:
1. Platform Support & Security Infrastructure Management
- Lead the ongoing operation, support, and maintenance of critical cybersecurity platforms including, but not limited to: Palo Alto Firewalls, EDR, Proofpoint, and other core technologies.
- Ensure high availability, performance optimization, and timely resolution of platform-related issues.
2. End-to-End Lifecycle Management
- Oversee the full lifecycle of security tools—from evaluation and deployment to upgrades, patching, and decommissioning.
- Align lifecycle planning with business goals, emerging threats, and technology evolution.
3. Integration & Interoperability
- Ensure seamless integration and interoperability of all platforms within the organization’s hybrid environment.
- Collaborate with various teams to enable secure and frictionless operations.
4. Platform Monitoring & Proactive Health Checks
- Define and implement robust monitoring strategies for platform health, performance, and anomalies.
- Lead initiatives for proactive issue detection, trend analysis, and capacity planning.
5. License & Asset Management
- Manage licensing and entitlement for all platform components, ensuring compliance and optimal utilization.
- Develop dashboards and reporting mechanisms to track usage and plan renewals or expansions.
6. Policy & Governance Oversight
- Define and enforce platform management policies, configuration baselines, and operational standards.
- Ensure adherence to industry best practices, audit requirements, and regulatory compliance.
7. Cybersecurity Delivery Roadmap Execution
- Contribute to the strategic cybersecurity roadmap by aligning platform enhancements with business and threat landscape priorities.
- Lead key platform initiatives and ensure successful delivery through cross-functional collaboration.
8. Change Management
- Champion structured change control processes across all cybersecurity systems.
- Document changes thoroughly and ensure risk assessments and rollback plans are in place for each change.
9. Vendor & Stakeholder Engagement
- Serve as the primary point of contact for platform vendors, managing product roadmaps, contract renewals, and support escalations.
- Leverage vendor insights and partnerships to drive innovation and resiliency in platform operations.

What you have to offer:
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in cybersecurity infrastructure, with at least 3+ years in a leadership or team lead role.
- Expert level knowledge in the Network Security and Security Perimeter domains
- Strong working knowledge and hands-on experience in one or more of the following: NGFW, IDS/IPS, segmentation, DNS security, Web gateways, proxies, Proofpoint, DDoS protection, WAF
- Strong architectural understanding of hybrid cloud environments and security tool integration.
- Proven experience in lifecycle planning, change management, and platform performance optimization.
- Ability to think strategically and translate business and risk requirements into technical solutions.
- Experience working in large, matrixed organizations and managing cross-functional initiatives.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and executive stakeholders.
Nice To Have:
- Industry recognized professional security certifications such as:
- CISSP, CCSP, CISM, MS Certified Azure Security Engineer or equivalent.

The salary range for this position in British Columbia is $91,000.00 - $126,000.00 . We will consider factors such as your working location, work experience and skills as well as internal equity, and market conditions to ensure that you are paid fairly and competitively.
