Digital Solutions > Data Quality & Enablement
The Data Quality & Enablement team, part of Vestas Digital Solutions, is focused on enhancing data excellence and unlocking value from our data products and platforms. This newly established department plays a vital role in Vestas Digital Powerhouse by treating data as a strategic asset. We enable digital scalability and resilience by implementing a collaborative data governance model with clear accountability and a value-centric focus.
We embed compliance by design into our data platforms, ensuring privacy and regulatory requirements are addressed from the ground up. This approach strengthens trust in our digital solutions and enhances data integrity.
As a Data Privacy and Compliance Officer in the newly established Data Quality & Enablement team, you will collaborate closely with diverse product teams, business stakeholders and functions such as Data Privacy and Cyber Security across Vestas. In this role, you will be at the forefront of ensuring our compliance with data privacy regulations, the Data Act, and the AI Act. Your expertise will be crucial in safeguarding our data and maintaining the highest standards of privacy and compliance.

 

Responsibilities

  • Compliance Management: Oversee and ensure compliance with relevant data privacy laws and regulations, including GDPR, the Data Act, and the AI Act. Help define and drive our compliance by utilizing new technology opportunities to embed compliance-by-design and for automation
  • Data Privacy: Implement and maintain our data privacy policies and procedures to protect sensitive information
  • Training and Awareness: Provide training and raise awareness among employees about data privacy and compliance requirements
  • Legal Practice Application: Be motivated by the opportunity to apply legal practices within an IT organization, ensuring that compliance and data privacy are integral to our digital solutions
  • Reporting: Prepare and present reports on data privacy and compliance status to senior management

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT, Business, Communications, Law, or a related field
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in data privacy and compliance, ideally in a large organization
  • In-depth knowledge of GDPR, the Data Act, and the AI Act
  • You master a holistic and end-to-end approach in diagnosing potential data compliance challenges and can maneuver between a high- and low-level approach to support in overcoming the challenges related to data
  • You thrive in a visible role as you will be working with data products, data management teams, data owners and many more in establishing compliance by design
