Job Title

About your role:

You'll be a key leader within the Fiserv Technology Services organization, responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and management of enterprise-class security systems. This role involves providing organizational and technological leadership to a team of Senior Security Engineers and collaborating with various Information Security teams to ensure the delivery of cutting-edge security infrastructure solutions.

What you'll do:

• Develop and maintain robust relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the delivery of technically sound security solutions.
• Lead and mentor a team of Senior Security Engineers, providing guidance and support to ensure project delivery within budget and on-time, and collaborate with project teams to drive significant tech refresh activities.
• Analyze complex security challenges, provide clear guidance, and steer teams toward effective solutions.
• Evaluate platform capacities, predict required infrastructure additions, and ensure sustained performance levels.
• Establish and enforce engineering standards, ensuring their successful implementation, measurement, and reporting.
• Lead the technical design of enterprise network security systems, leveraging extensive architectural familiarity with technologies like WAN & LAN, Security, Firewall, XML Gateway, Virtualization, HA/DR, and WAF.
• Serve as a liaison between the network security team and the Cyber and Risk organizations, ensuring alignment and collaboration on security initiatives.
• Assist in developing secure-from-the-start solutions for the Fiserv network perimeter, ensuring robust security measures are integrated from the outset.

Experience you'll need to have:

• 12+ years of relevant work experience in designing and building enterprise-class security systems
• 6+ years of hands-on experience with Palo Alto and Checkpoint
• 6+ years of experience in design and engineering across Azure, AWS, and/or GCP
• 6+ years of experience in Python
• 6+ years of experience with firewall technologies, intrusion systems, networking, databases, HA/DR, virtual systems, PCI compliance, and IT regulations.
• 3+ years of experience in technical design for enterprise network security systems
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of educational background, related experience, and/or military experience

Experience that would be great to have:

• Engineering and Design level certifications (CISSP, Palo Alto Network, Checkpoint Networks)
• Experience in an e-Commerce or client transaction environment
• Previous Infrastructure/Security engineering experience in heterogeneous environments

How you’ll work:

Travel:

• Approximately 10% travel off-site or to other office locations is expected.
