Basic Qualifications

Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or a related Science or Mathematics field. Also requires 5+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 3 years of job-related experience.

 

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:

Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities for this Position

Cyber Assessment & Authorization Engineer, Colorado Springs, COMake the world’s most advanced Missile Defense Systems even smarter

 

ROLE AND POSITION OBJECTIVES:

 

As an Information Technology (IT) Security Specialist, you will utilize your Assessment & Authorization (A&A) background to analyze Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS), Security Content Automation Protocol Compliance Checker (SCC), and Configuration Operating System (ConfigOS) scans and controls for continuous system Authorization. The successful candidate will be expected to work in collaboration with Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) and external stakeholders to assess system vulnerabilities, account management, generate engineering responses for system Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms), and conduct risk analysis for Risk Acceptance Requests (RARs). Top Secret (TS) clearance is required, with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) highly desired.

 

We encourage you to apply if you have any of these preferred skills or experiences:

  • Solid Cybersecurity engineering skills with working knowledge of Cyber technologies, DoDI 8500.2 and Risk Management Framework (RMF) NIST 800-53
  • Excellent technical document preparation and verbal communication
  • Thorough understanding of ACAS (Assured Compliance Assessment Solution) and SCC (Security Content Automation Protocol) outputs. Hands-on experience reviewing scan data, STIGs and RMF controls
  • Possess the ability to be part of an integrated team tasked with developing and maintaining the physical, functional, and technical baselines necessary to describe the desired capabilities of an evolving command and control system

  • Demonstrated experience managing cyber tasking orders
  • Experience working with 3rd party assessors and auditors
  • Conducting self-assessments and analyzing STIGs
  • Experience with eMASS/Xacta and the accreditation of Cross Domain Solutions (CDS)
  • Knowledge/Understanding of patch & configuration management of complex and disparate enterprise systems

Salary Note

This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.). Actual pay may vary. This job posting will remain open until the position is filled.

Combined Salary Range

USD $115,674.00 - USD $128,325.00 /Yr.
