Legal Aid NSW helps people with their legal problems. We can help people with most areas criminal law, family law and every day civil law legal issues. We give legal advice, help at court and do family dispute resolution. We can do this over the telephone or at one of our 28 offices.

 

About the role

 

The Senior Cyber Security Administrator is responsible for the protection of data, information security engineering and the implementation and monitoring of compliance with information security policies and procedures.

 

About you

 

As a Senior Cyber Security Administrator with Legal Aid NSW, you will play a pivotal role in safeguarding our organisation's digital assets. Leveraging your extensive experience in an intelligence environment, you will confidently stay ahead of current cyber threats and issues. With your proven expertise in conducting comprehensive cyber risk assessments, you will identify potentially crucial threats, vulnerabilities, and impacts.

 

You excel in responding to cyber security incidents and investigating security alerts, ensuring our systems remain secure and resilient. This role will require you to be willing to work on-call and after hours, as required during cyber threats and critical incidents.

You will receive additional allowances for any on-call or after-hours duties preformed.  

Your strong written and verbal communication skills will enable you to foster effective working relationships and provide clear, actionable advice and guidance to stakeholders at all levels.

The essential requirements for this role

 

You must:

 

  • Tertiary qualifications in IT and Cyber Security or an appropriate discipline and/ or equivalent significant relevant industry experience. 
  • This role may require participation in an on-call and/or after hours work roster to ensure service continuity to clients or maintenance activities outside normal business hours
  • be willing to do a Criminal Record Check
  • hold Australian or NZ citizenship, Australian Permanent Residency (for ongoing vacancies)
  • live in NSW or willing to relocate to NSW
