Liquibase Expert

Job Description

NetImpact Strategies is seeking a skilled Liquibase Expert to join our team in delivering database DevOps solutions for federal clients. This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining automated database change management pipelines using Liquibase, ensuring compliance, security, and efficiency in database operations.

Responsibilities

• Database Change Management: Design and implement Liquibase-based solutions for version-controlled database schema changes, ensuring seamless integration with CI/CD pipelines.
• Automation & Scripting: Develop and maintain scripts for database deployments, rollbacks, and migrations, enhancing automation and reducing manual intervention.
• Collaboration: Work closely with DevOps, development, and QA teams to integrate database changes into the broader software delivery lifecycle.
• Compliance & Security: Ensure all database changes adhere to federal compliance standards and security best practices.
• Troubleshooting & Support: Provide expertise in diagnosing and resolving database-related issues, ensuring minimal disruption to services.

Qualifications

Required

• Must maintain U.S. Citizenship and the ability to maintain a Public Trust clearance.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years in database administration or DevOps roles, with at least 3 years specifically working with Liquibase in enterprise environments.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Liquibase, SQL, and database management systems (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL).
• Automation Tools: Experience with CI/CD tools and scripting languages (e.g., Jenkins, Git, Bash, PowerShell).
• Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to document processes and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Previous federal consulting experience preferred.
• Experience with cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Familiarity with DevOps methodologies and tools beyond Liquibase, such as Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform.
• Knowledge of database performance tuning and optimization techniques.
• Relevant certifications in database management or cloud platforms are a plus.
