Lead API and AI Engineer

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Software Engineer who will play a pivotal role in our API security and management initiatives. You will lead a team of talented engineers, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to the design, development, and deployment of GenAI-powered solutions. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring the security and efficiency of our API ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the development and implementation of GenAI-powered API security solutions and user experience.
• Enable automated API threat assessments and evidence validation.
• Ensure tooling is in place to address API vulnerabilities and manage risk factors throughout the API lifecycle.
• Collaborate with application owners, cybersecurity experts, and data scientists to design and architect data pipelines for API threat assessment.
• Oversee the integration of AI-powered validation workflow..
• Drive experimentation and batch mode processing using static data.
• Evaluate and enhance prompt management systems for live integration.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

• Proven experience in software engineering, with a focus on API security and management.
• Strong knowledge of cloud-native systems and API protection guidelines.
• Proficiency in GenAI technologies and tools (e.g., LangChain, Google ADK, Orchestra).
• Experience with data pipeline design and architecture.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.

• This role offers a hybrid in-office work schedule

• The role pays in the range of $133,300 to $237,100 and is based on qualifications and experience

Pay Range
 

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
