About the Role
We seek an experienced Scrum Master with Application Security knowleadge to join our dynamic team at ANZ. You will facilitate Agile Scrum processes while ensuring security best practices are embedded in the development lifecycle. This dual role requires a keen understanding of Agile methodologies and security frameworks to drive secure and efficient product development.
Working closely with the product development and security teams, you will ensure smooth sprint execution while reinforcing security compliance, risk management, and vulnerability mitigation. Additionally, you will serve as a coach, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and proactive security awareness.

What will your day look like?

Agile Scrum Leadership – Leading daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, backlog refinement, and other Scrum ceremonies to keep the team aligned.

Application Security Integration – Collaborating with security teams to embed security best practices within the Agile workflow, addressing vulnerabilities early in the development cycle.

Incident & Change Management – Monitoring dashboards, allocating tickets (change tasks, requests, incidents, problem tickets), and ensuring timely resolution.

Security Compliance & Risk Management – Conducting security assessments, ensuring regulatory compliance, and recommending mitigation strategies.

Removing Impediments – Identifying blockers affecting sprint progress and proactively resolving challenges to maintain efficiency.

Coaching & Continuous Improvement – Guide team members on Scrum and security principles, fostering collaboration, and improving Agile security standards.
Leading daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and other meetings to keep the team aligned and productive.
What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

Facilitate Scrum ceremonies daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, Sprint Planning, Reviews, and Retrospectives to keep delivery on track.

Coach the team on Scrum values and process control, using metrics to drive continuous improvement.

Collaborate with the Product Owner to refine and re-prioritise the backlog, slicing epics into right-sized user stories that can meet the Definition of Done each Sprint.

Application Security knowledge and understanding of OWASP Top 10 risks to assist with any Security remediation tasks.

Create supporting Jira dashboards, Confluence pages for transparency.

Leverage knowledge of TCP/IP, HTTP, REST APIs, SSL/TLS, and HTML/JavaScript to enable effective technical discussions with application owners ad business stakeholders.

Knowledge on CI/CD and infrastructure automation.

Knowledge on Incident Response & Security Monitoring.

Experience using Splunk SPL queries, dashboards, and alerts to turn raw data into actionable insights for security and compliance reporting.
