A fantastic opportunity at nbn as a Network Security Specialist reporting to the Executive Manager, Network Security Risk.

A bit about your role

The Network Security Specialist role is responsible for governing and assessing the security risk profile of critical network assets. This includes executing the ‘Secure Delivery’ function across the Active Network Domain, providing risk assessment support for network production change requests, and security uplift initiatives.

The role involves working closely with business stakeholders to ensure all changes meet nbn security requirements and the risk exposure associated with exceptions are risk assessed, socialised and management actions agreed. Additionally, the role contributes to the overall governance of network security risk partnership engagement, and proactive risk assurance, collaborating with peer security teams to uphold nbn security policies and manage overall security risks within the active network.

A bit about you

The successful candidate is a seasoned cyber security professional with strong communication, analytical, and organisational skills, capable of handling large volumes of network and security data with precision. A process-oriented and data-driven approach is essential. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in NBN networks and can apply their cybersecurity, governance risk and compliance expertise in this context. They should embody nbn values, demonstrating collaboration, problem-solving, and an eagerness to learn.
