The Role

Are you ready to join the team of software engineering experts at Kyndryl? We are seeking a talented Workday Security Specialist to contribute to our software engineering space and provide critical skills required for the development of cutting-edge products.  

Key Responsibilities:

Workday Security Configuration & Management:

· Configure, manage, and optimize the Workday Security Module to ensure granular user access control, role-based security, and data protection.

· Collaborate with key stakeholders to design and implement security roles, domains, and permissions based on business requirements and security policies.

· Perform security audits, troubleshooting, and system checks to maintain integrity and compliance.

· Handle user provisioning, de-provisioning, and access management within Workday, ensuring smooth and secure access for all users.

· Review and reject cases or access requests that are not aligned with SOX compliance requirements, ensuring that any changes or configurations do not violate segregation of duties

· Translate complex security requirements such as segmented groups, aggregation security groups into configuration and ensure thorough testing and documentation is done prior to production migration.

System Maintenance & Updates:

· Work closely with system administrators to ensure regular system upgrades, patches, and release management for Workday Security.

· Stay current with new Workday releases and security updates to ensure best practices for security protocols and data protection.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Management:

· Collaborate with HR, IT, and business stakeholders to define security policies, manage user access requests, and ensure compliance with internal security standards.

· Provide ongoing consultation on Workday Security best practices and assist in resolving access-related issues across the organization.

· Document and communicate security configurations, changes, and improvements to all relevant stakeholders.

ServiceNow Ticket Management:

· Use ServiceNow for managing and tracking all security-related tickets including access issues, system audits, troubleshooting, and enhancements.

· Ensure tickets are resolved in a timely manner while maintaining a high level of system security and user satisfaction

Driving the design, development, integration, delivery, and evolution of highly scalable distributed software you will integrate with other layers and offerings. You will provide deeper functionality and solutions to address customer needs. You will work closely with software engineers, architects, product managers, and partner teams to get high-quality products and features through the agile software development lifecycle.

Your continuous grooming of features/user stories to estimate, identify technical risks/dependencies and clearly communicate them to project stakeholders will ensure the features are delivered with the right quality and within timeline. You will maintain and drive the clearing of technical debt, vulnerabilities, and currency of the 3rd party components within the product.

As a Software Engineering Technical Specialist, you will also coach and mentor engineers to design and implement highly available, secure, distributed software in a scalable architecture. Required Technical and Professional Expertise

•5 years of hands-on experience with Workday Security, including security role configuration, domain security policies, and business process security policies.

•Experience with Workday provisioning and de-provisioning, as well as user access reviews and security audits.

•Familiarity with ServiceNow or similar ticketing systems to manage and track access issues and requests.

•Solid grasp of enterprise IT environments, including collaboration with HR, IT, and compliance teams on access governance.

•Tools: Workday, ServiceNow, IAM tools (SailPoint, Okta, etc.)

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience

•Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field

•Strong understanding of SOX - Sarbanes-Oxley Act compliance, segregation of duties, and secure access management best practices.
•And/or Master Certified Technical Specialist
