Weapon Systems Engineering Director

Key Role:

Bring extensive technical and management background to a hyper-focused team, delivering force multiplying management and information technology solutions to solve discrete, enterprise, and global challenges related to IT Weapon Systems. Act as a strategic business and program leader responsible for building and leading programs and project teams to support all aspects of the system delivery life cycle successfully and leverage extensive experience in transforming multi-talented individuals into high performing outcome-based teams. Utilize vast knowledge of DoD and IC resource and acquisition management, scientific research, engineering development, risk management, and fielding of Enterprise Information Technology (IT) Systems, including mission and business applications and underlying IT infrastructure. Demonstrate in-depth understanding of traditional and agile development and CMMI and ITIL processes for employment in life cycle management of global C4ISR-T systems spanning all echelons of command across the USAF C2&ISR and the US Intelligence Community. Perform as a Chief Systems Engineer on complex high-reliable, extensible, and highly-available C4ISR-T systems including deployable and mobile C4ISR-T systems. Drive technical solutions utilizing AI and other leading-edge technologies to create efficiencies within warfighting C4ISR-T mission system solutions while performing market capture across all C4ISR-T of the DoD. This position is located in Rome, NY. Extended travel and delivery will be required at locations across CONUS and OCONUS.

Basic Qualifications: 

  • 20+ years of experience with global C4ISR systems for the federal government

  • 15+ years of experience with DoD and IC resource and acquisition management, research and development, systems engineering, and risk management for enterprise IT systems

  • Ability to travel CONUS and OCONUS

  • TS/SCI clearance

  • Master’s degree in Engineering

  • CISSP Certification

  • Defense Acquisition University Systems Engineer Level III Certification

Additional Qualifications: 

  • Doctorate degree in Engineering

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. TS/SCI clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $185,700.00 to $345,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
