JOB SUMMARY: This is an Information Security Analyst II position on the DOR Security Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) Team, located in the Information Systems Program in Tallahassee. Cybersecurity is one of the fastest growing fields with endless opportunities for monitoring and mitigation of security threats. Customer service, time management, and effective communication are extremely important for this role. The incumbent serves as a point of contact regarding the overall audit process and assists the GRC Team in reviewing and responding to audit findings, recommendations, and reports. This position should expect to have continuous communications and/or regularly scheduled meetings with internal process managers, internal team leads, internal auditors, external auditors and other key stakeholders regarding audit findings and recommendations. This position is crucial to the Department’s success in complying with necessary Information Technology requirements.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:  

  • Two years of experience conducting or supporting audits of IT systems for compliance with regulatory or security requirements to include conducting research, gathering, and monitoring various types of audit data, report/document writing.*
  • Two years or more experience working in Information Technology
  • One year experience in cybersecurity rules/standards, including the NIST Cybersecurity Framework, or IRS Pub 1075.
  • Experience collaborating with various stakeholders, teams, or executive management.
  • Experience planning, organizing, and coordinating efforts across an organization.

SUBSTITUTIONS:

  • *Two years of work experience in information security can substitute for one year of the required audit experience.

PREFERENCES:

  • Experience documenting processes, policies, and procedures.
  • Experience using project management, IT task management, Change Management, or audit-related software.
  • Intermediate level Microsoft Office Suite experience.
  • Experience utilizing SharePoint.
  • Experience with Cybersecurity rules, including IRS Pub 1075.
  • Customer service experience.

SPECIAL NOTES:

  • Position located in Tallahassee, Florida.
  • The tentative salary for this position is $50,000 annually
  • Interviews will be conducted on site for this position.

SALARY: $47,499.96 - $52,500.00.
