About your new role:


As a Solutions Engineer at Command|Link, you will play a vital role within a dynamic and fast-paced team committed to revolutionizing how mid-market and enterprise clients secure and optimize their networks. Your primary responsibilities will center on designing and implementing cutting-edge solutions in security services.


Leveraging your industry expertise, you will craft tailored, secure network solutions that meet the unique needs of our clients. This position calls for a technically adept, customer-focused professional who thrives on simplifying complex concepts and leading highly technical design discovery sessions with confidence and clarity.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a technical solutions engineering overlay, building strong relationships with Channel Sales Executives, channel partners, and mid-market/enterprise customers.
  • Act as the trusted advisor and technical lead in pre-sales engagements, owning the end-to-end solution design and positioning of Command|Link’s security services.
  • Leverage your expertise in Fortinet, Versa Networks, and Cato Networks to develop secure and scalable network solutions tailored to each client’s business needs.
  • Conduct in-depth technical discovery sessions with prospects to identify pain points, challenges, and opportunities to position the right solutions.
  • Collaborate closely with Product and Sales teams to refine product offerings and stay ahead of evolving market demands.
  • Own the technical aspects of the sales cycle from initial discussions and solution crafting while developing strong and thorough documentation for implementation
  • Proactively manage your funnel working with assigned Channel Directors to align on engagement approaches
  • Conduct demonstrations and customer presentations to clearly articulate the value of our solutions.
  • Lead webinars, workshops, and technical training sessions for partners and customers to enhance understanding of SD-WAN, SASE, and security services.

What you'll need for success:

  • Proven Expertise in Security Services: Deep hands-on experience with Versa and Fortinet is essential. Knowledge and experience with SASE, SSE, and security is also required
  • Strong Technical Sales Acumen: Ability to guide mid-market and enterprise clients through engagement cycle, from discovery to handoff for implementation.
  • Networking Knowledge: In-depth understanding of network security, routing, firewalls, VPNs, SASE, and cloud architectures
  • Dynamic Presentation Skills: Ability to deliver compelling, high-impact presentations and demos that resonate with both technical and business audiences.
  • Proactive Funnel Management: A must-have skill to ensure a healthy pipeline and consistent engagement throughout the sales process.
  • Consultative Mindset: A passion for solving complex business challenges with tailored technical solutions.
  • Self-Motivated and Driven: Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with minimal supervision.
  • Strong Collaboration and Communication Skills: Ability to work cross-functionally with Sales, Product, and Engineering teams. A willingness to help internal teams as a technical resource providing education and training where needed

Commandlink hires individuals in a number of geographic regions and the pay ranges listed reflect the cost of labor across these regions. The base pay for this position as displayed at the bottom of the job description is a range based on our lowest geographic region, up to our highest geographic region. Pay is based on location among other factors, such as skill-set, experience, and qualifications held.


Compensation includes a competitive base salary plus commission, with an On-Target Earnings (OTE) of $175,000+.
