Under the direction of the Director of Corporate Security, the Cybersecurity and Telecom Manager is responsible for managing cybersecurity measures, 24/7 network monitoring, and telecom operations. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in network administration, security best practices, and telecommunications systems.


Roles and Responsibilities

Leadership & Strategy

  • Lead and mentor the Cybersecurity, Network Monitoring, and Telecom teams, fostering a culture of innovation and accountability.
  • Develop and implement support strategies to enhance efficiency and user satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with other leaders to align technology solutions with company objectives.
  • Manage budgets, vendor relationships, and procurement for related services and equipment.

Cybersecurity Management

  • Implement and maintain security policies to protect company systems and data.
  • Monitor and respond to security threats, vulnerabilities, and incidents.
  • Conduct risk assessments and recommend security improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with cybersecurity regulations and industry standards.

Network Health & Monitoring

  • Monitor network performance, uptime, and security to prevent disruptions.
  • Perform regular system audits to ensure network efficiency and security.

Telecom Management

  • Oversee telecom infrastructure, including VoIP, mobile, and landline communications.
  • Manage vendor relationships for telecom services and ensure cost-effective solutions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to phone systems and connectivity.
  • Implement best practices for telecom security and compliance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of experience in IT security, network administration, or a similar role. 
  • Strong knowledge of firewalls, VPNs, endpoint protection, and intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS).
  • Experience with credential management and access control frameworks.
  • Familiarity with telecom systems, VoIP, and network communications.
  • Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Network+, CCNA, CISSP, or similar are a plus.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.

Physical Requirements/ Working Conditions

  • The primary work environment is in a climate-controlled office setting. 
  • Incumbents may be required to be on-call and work evening, weekend, and holiday shifts.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced, high-demand environment.
  • Sedentary work: involves sitting most of the time. Constantly operates a computer and other office equipment.
  • Physical activities that apply to the essential functions of the position are balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.
  • Hearing sufficient to hear conversational levels in person, via videoconference, and over the telephone.
  • Speech sufficient to make oneself heard and understood in person, in front of groups, in meetings, via videoconference, and over the telephone.
  • Visual acuity that meets the requirements of the position: The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as working at a computer terminal, expansive reading and visual inspection of team members, visitors, or facility.
  • Endurance sufficient to sit, walk and stand for extended periods, and maintain efficiency throughout the entire work shift and during extended work hours.
