Overview

As an Cyber Security Engineer - Security Assurance Vulnerability and Configuration Management , you will play a pivotal role in maintaining and enhancing the company's cybersecurity posture. This role is ideal for individuals with 4-6 years of experience in cybersecurity assurance or related fields who are ready to take on more responsibility and lead initiatives within a dynamic team.

You Will

Contribute to running processes and technologies

  • You will join teammates in conducting the ongoing operation of Security Assurance Vulnerability and Configuration Management processes, procedures, and technologies.
  • You will  identify vulnerabilities and configuration noncompliance ,asses the risk and oversee remediation activities.
  • You will assist in the development and improvement of configuration standards.

Assist with Metrics Development and Reporting

  • You will assist the Lead Engineer of Vulnerability and Configuration Management in producing metrics, reports and dashboards to measure the effectiveness of the Vulnerability and Configuration Management processes and programs.

Work Collaboratively with Other Team Members to achieve objectives

  • You will collaborate with a global team of engineers, analysts, and rotational associates to deliver seamless and reliable Vulnerability and Configuration management programs.

Aide in the Planning, Delivery, and Socialization of new capabilities

  • You will play a key role in the annual delivery of Security Assurance Projects introducing new capabilities, streamlining operations, and further strengthening Guardian’s Cyber Security Posture.

Rapidly Identify Opportunities to Automate and deliver functional MVPs

  • You will be responsible for assessing current operations for automation opportunities, and using scripting and API calls where appropriate to move from concept to delivery of a functional product.
  • You will be responsible for cross training and operationalizing the developed script

You Have

  • 3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity or a related field.
  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent certifications.
  • A strong understanding of vulnerability management and configuration monitoring, and proficiency with related security tools and technologies.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, along with strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • A highly motivated personality to learn new things consistently.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or similar.
  • A passion for challenges, the dynamic nature of vulnerability management, and adjusting to an ever-changing threat landscape.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages and utilizing APIs in conjunction with scripting for automation.
  • Experience with configuration standards and managing compliance to those standards.
  • Experience in leading projects to implement new security technologies and ensuring on-time, within-scope, and on-budget delivery.

Location

  • Three days a week our Guardian office in Bethlehem, PA.

Salary Range:

$77,570.00 - $127,430.00

The salary range reflected above is a good faith estimate of base pay for the primary location of the position. The salary for this position ultimately will be determined based on the education, experience, knowledge, and abilities of the successful candidate. In addition to salary, this role may also be eligible for annual, sales, or other incentive compensation.
