Role Summary:

The IT Director for JA The Resorts Group will lead and manage the IT operations across all JA properties in the UAE and international locations. This role is responsible for the smooth execution and operational oversight of all IT systems, services, and hospitality technology. While strategy and cybersecurity governance are driven by DUTCO Head Office, the IT Director will ensure alignment, compliance, and local execution in accordance with group-wide standards and policies.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic & Governance Alignment

- Ensure the implementation of IT strategies and roadmaps as defined by DUTCO Group IT, aligning them with JA Resorts’ operational goals.
- Collaborate closely with the Group IT Director – DUTCO to support group-wide digital initiatives at the resort level.
- Act as the key liaison between JA Resorts’ operations and the DUTCO Head Office for all IT-related matters.

Operations Management

- Oversee the daily operations of IT systems across all properties including infrastructure, applications, and guest-facing technologies.
- Ensure consistent IT service delivery across properties, maintaining performance, availability, and service level agreements (SLAs).
- Coordinate with property-level IT teams to ensure standardization and operational efficiency.

Cybersecurity & Compliance (Under DUTCO Governance)

- Implement cybersecurity controls and procedures in compliance with DUTCO HO policies and frameworks.
- Ensure all systems and data handling comply with regional data protection regulations and internal group standards.
- Report and escalate security incidents, breaches, or compliance issues to DUTCO Group Cybersecurity.

Project & Vendor Management

- Oversee the successful execution of IT projects such as property upgrades, system rollouts, and technology deployments in line with DUTCO’s strategy.
- Manage external vendors, service providers, and technology partners ensuring timely delivery and quality of services.
- Ensure proper documentation, licensing, and contract management.

Team Leadership

- Lead, mentor, and support property IT teams to ensure operational excellence and career development.
- Promote collaboration across properties and foster a customer-centric IT support culture.

Stakeholder Engagement

- Serve as the key IT point of contact for JA Resorts’ executive management and operational leadership.
- Provide regular updates, performance reports, and project progress to the Group IT Director – DUTCO.
- Support the business with IT insights and best practices to improve efficiency and enhance guest experience.

Qualifications & Experience:

- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related discipline. Advanced degrees or certifications (MBA, ITIL, PMP, CISSP) are a plus.
- Minimum 10 years of IT leadership experience, with a strong focus on hospitality environments and multi-property operations.
- Experience in managing and integrating hospitality systems such as Protel PMS, Opera PMS, Micros POS, ERP, IPTV and guest mobile applications.
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, operations, and enterprise systems.
- Familiarity with global IT security practices and frameworks under a centralized governance model.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.

Travel Requirements:

Occasional international travel required to support and oversee IT operations in overseas resort locations.
