Chief Information Security Officer

As we continue to lead in technological advancements, Vault is now entering a defining phase of growth with a strategic $22.5 million investment from the National Reconstruction Fund Corporation (NRFC). This investment will scale Vault's capabilities and introduce new services, directly addressing Australia's strategic national security demands. Vault is now positioned to not only strengthen its existing relationships with federal and state government agencies, but also strengthen its relationships with private sector businesses requiring secure cloud storage. To support this growth, we are bolstering our capability by adding numerous key roles that are integral to our future success. As part of our commitment to strengthening our security strategy, we are looking for a Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) to join our Executive Leadership Team to ensure that the national security, safety critical and sensitive data that has been entrusted to Vault Cloud is secure.

You will be responsible for:

• Taking ownership of our cloud security strategy and driving it to the next level
• Leading our SOC team and scaling it in line with the growth in the business, Dealing with real-world cyber threats whilst protecting the nation’s critical data
• Working with key stakeholders within the business to continue to evolve and strengthen the organisations security posture and the security of our services - Developing cutting-edge security measures and additional tooling to support Vault Cloud’s mission
• Building a strategic and comprehensive information security program that defines, develops, implements and maintains up-to-date policies and processes .
• Engaging with key Government and Industry stakeholders domestically and internationally to align Vault’s security direction

To be successful you will be able to demonstrate with:

• Extensive expertise in Cybersecurity with a proven ability to identify, analyse and remediate vulnerabilities across complex systems and architectures
• Demonstrates a pragmatic and strategic approach to threat modeling, risk assessment, and penetration testing, uncovering hidden weaknesses in both traditional and emerging technologies
• An Australian Government security clearance
• Experience in incident response and crisis management
• Deep understanding of security compliance, documentation and continuity planning
• Deep understanding of relevant industry regulations such as the Defence Security Policy Framework (DSPF) and the Information Security Manual (ISM)
• Proven expertise in IT security products, processes and procedures
• The ability to provide leadership on security and successfully influence all levels of stakeholders
