Cyber Security Intern

Attention current Bachelor’s students who love tackling new challenges. Clean Harbors in Norwell, MA is looking for a Cyber Security Intern. The Cyber Security Intern will work with a cybersecurity engineer on cybersecurity initiatives. The individual will contribute to a matrixed team of information technology engineers responsible for securing devices, software, facilities and infrastructure. They will also collaborate on the implementation, monitoring and ongoing maintenance required to ensure a holistic cybersecurity program.

• Collaborate with cybersecurity and IT personnel. Identify and recommend controls to shore up security gaps and track them through to implementation and validation.
• Confirm a comprehensive inventory of assets, such as hardware, software, firmware, protocols, controller systems and third-party applications. Proactively maintain the state of cybersecurity.
• Investigate internal and external attacks and abnormalities. Track mean-time-to-detect and mean-time-to-respond metrics for technical teams responsible for incident response. 
• Follow industry standards as well as vendor system best practices. Support and comply with change management processes. .
• Other Duties as Assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Current student working towards bachelor’s in cyber security 
• Ability to work across business lines
• Ability to use computer and applicable company software.
• Proficient in MS Office Applications - MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Access
