Job Description:

Check out this great opportunity to join one of GDIT’s fastest long-standing growing programs!  US Battlefield Information Collection and Exploitation Systems eXtended (US BICES-X) is a cutting-edge program supporting DoD intelligence information sharing on current and emerging global threats to mission and coalition partners and emerging nations. With an internationally dispersed team supporting each combatant command, the US BICES-X team is in direct support of the war fighter and their missions. We are seeking a creative and driven professional with a passion for solving real world issues on a cross-functional, fast paced team. 

Responsibilities:

  • Work with stakeholders to facilitate alignment of business strategies, operational processes, and IT strategies related to future-state architecture changes.
  • Work with operations, cybersecurity, logistics, and configuration management to properly support and coordinate activities across functional areas and teams. Participate and/or lead in technical exchanges, working groups and review boards.
  • Evaluates vendor products and makes recommendations for estimation/costing and procurement activities.
  • Direct and coordinate activities concerned with cost estimations, system engineering design approach and artifact development.
  • Performs systems engineering development and design work that may include logic design, network architecture analysis and roadmap development.
  • Creates and maintains system documentation associated with engineering designs such as, but not limited to, requirements, design diagrams, cybersecurity Risk Management Framework (RMF) and Zero Trust (ZT) alignment strategies
  • Provide ITIL best practice service management consulting at a strategic, design, and operational level.
  • Provide leadership utilizing PMI and ITIL experience to simplify and improve the current processes based on industry’s best practices.
  • Maintains current knowledge of rapidly changing technology, always on the lookout for new technologies, and works with management to evolve current processes.
  • Participates in special projects as assigned..

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience is required.
  • BA/BS degree – may substitute additional years of experience.
  • Must possess and maintain a TS/SCI Clearance. (SECRET if Virginia)
  • Must meet DoD 8570 requirements and be eligible for IAT level II (Security+ or equivalent) Certification.
  • Understanding PMI and ITIL practices.
  • Experience leading technical exchange discussion and system requirement development
  • Experience mapping solutions to requirements
  • Experience in infrastructure design at an Enterprise, datacenter to user site, level and associated Hardware/Software components.
  • Experience in developing budgetary cost estimations and cost models
  • Experience with infrastructure components including but not limited to data center operations, server hardware, operating systems (Windows, Linux), databases (MS SQL, MySQL), virtualization (VMware), networking, storage, monitoring, etc.  
  • Familiarity with collaborative documentation and issue tracking tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and ServiceNow
  • Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • May be required to work evening, weekend, and holiday hours as required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • ITIL Certification
  • PMI PMP Certification
  • Vendor Technology Certifications (ex. CISCO, Microsoft, Splunk)

The likely salary range for this position is $110,614 - $144,900. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
