Job Description:

GDIT has a great opportunity for a Transformational IT Deputy Program Manager supporting a major Department of Defense (DoD) customer to provide information sharing capabilities. Ideal candidate has a technical/engineering and management background and experience providing information sharing services across a global IT enterprise. You will be working in a rewarding, mission focused environment, leading a team providing transformational IT services across a hybrid, multi-cloud enterprise. You will lead and manage new and existing transformational IT services support, including NIPRNet and SIPRNet application migration, lab support, integration and testing environments, and datacenter closure activities. Other support activities include managing cloud environments for Development, Test, Pre-Production, and Production. This position requires some travel.

Responsibilities:

  • Leads a cross-functional team of engineers and IT service support professionals.
  • Organizes, directs, and manages contract operation support functions involving multiple, complex, and inter-related project tasks.
  • Coordinates with internal and external stakeholders to develop efficiencies.
  • Oversees the design and development project baseline schedules, supports implementing and maintaining integrated master schedule (IMS) and work breakdown structures (WBS)
  • Maintains and manages the client interface at the senior levels of the client organization.
  • Manages and is responsible for the successful completion of all tasks in assigned program area with annual revenues of $10M and above
  • Meets with customer and contractor personnel to formulate and review plans and deliverables.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of engineering experience in support of IT networks and communications to include governance and policy and process development and implementation.
  • Experience with developing policy and implementation plans for cross‐network communications, including Service and Joint networks is required.
  • Experience in the available DOD classified and unclassified communications transport, and the organizations that manage them.
  • 5+ years successfully managing and leading a network C2 operations team at a network operation center for the DOD or the IC.
  • Experience leading high-performing teams.
  • Must possess and maintain a TS/SCI clearance.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, especially in a client interaction context.
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer science, or information/technology systems management.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) and Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or other technical certification such as Microsoft, Cisco, Juniper, or VMware.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience leading geographically dispersed teams.

The likely salary range for this position is $140,250 - $189,750. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
