Overview

GovCIO is currently hiring for multiple Information Systems Security Officer(s) (ISSO’s) to support our client’s contract needs. This position is located in the Washington, DC area and will be a full remote position.

Responsibilities

• Working independently or as part of multiple project teams, assesses the information technology (IT) risk and enhances IT business systems, processes, and controls.
• Projects focus on the assessment and/or evaluation of IT systems and the mitigation of IT-related business risk and the organizations efforts to ensure that IT investments provide maximum security and risk mitigation in the most cost-effective manner.
• Evaluates IT systems to ensure they comply with FISMA requirements.
• Enforces a separation of duties between enterprise IT managers, who administer user identities and set policy, and departmental staff, who administer systems.
• Collaborates with the business to analyze, evaluate, and enhance information systems facilitating the business' internal control processes and the standards set by FISMA.
• Continuously assesses opportunities to improve the internal control environment across the organization.
• Completes internal audit work in compliance with established audit methodology while meeting all organizational and professional ethical standards.
• Maintain a strong awareness of the current threat landscape. Create knowledge base articles for handling medium and high severity incidents.

Qualifications

Bachelors with 8+ years  (or commensurate experience)

 

Required Skills and Experience

• Experience with creation and resolution of POA&MS.
• Highly proficient in audit processes.
• Advanced knowledge of Malware Detection, Data Loss Prevention, Anti-Virus, Vulnerability Identification, or a combination of the above examples.

 

Clearance Required: Must be able to acquire and maintain a HUD Public Trust

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Experience with Tenable
• CISSP certification highly preferred

Posted Pay Range

 

The posted pay range, if referenced, reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity. The total compensation package for this position may also include other compensation elements, to be discussed during the hiring process. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the GovCIO reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, GovCIO or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

Posted Salary Range

USD $110,000.00 - USD $120,000.00 /Yr.
