WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

  • You will be part of a team of highly motivated and skilled DFIR experts in the Cyber Defense team of BASF Group.
  • You will take over the responsibility to handle various e-Discovery cases and assist in the collection, processing and analysis/review of ESI adhering to federal, corporate and data protection rules in different jurisdictions across the globe.
  • You will support and collaborate  with various stakeholders to investigate data privacy relevant incidents, develop appropriate technical countermeasures to mitigate the adverse effects of the incident on the effected individuals and coordinate these with the Data Privacy Organization of BASF.
  • You report data privacy  incidents to the Data Privacy Organization of BASF, support compliance with information and reporting obligations and assist in responding to inquiries from authorities and/or affected individuals.
  • You will support the Data Privacy Organization of BASF in ensuring compliant documentation of data privacy incidents. You will create reports, presentations and articles on data privacy  incidents in various communication channels and committees.

REQUIREMENTS OF THE POSITION

  • BS or MS in computer science / LLB (with a technical focus) or equivalent experience.
  • 4 years’ experience in International e-Discovery, legal framework and obligations, Data Protection, Data Privacy or a similar roles.
  • Certifications in e-Discovery and data protection would be desirable.
  • Above-average knowledge of data protection law as well as a passion for data protection. Professional expertise in this environment would be an advantage.
  • Experience with professional e-Discovery software (e.g. OpenText™ Axcelerate™, Relativity, Ringtail, NUIX, etc) to preserve, process, review and analyze data.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Superior interpersonal and team-working skills and interest to interact and cooperate in interdisciplinary groups.
  • Passion to cooperate in an international (regulatory) environment.
  • Confident communication in English, both spoken and written.
  • Self-motivation is essential, along with the ability to  quickly learn new software and procedures.
  • Initiative in resolving problems and completing assignments.
