Cloud Security Operations

 Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Security Operations Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible to assess the impact of Azure and AWS platform security changes, work with engineering and operations to implement security enhancements in a scalable manner, and coordinate with key stakeholders on implementation timelines and impact to applications. Security enhancements include, but are not limited to, public cloud platform changes, server updates, security tool maintenance, security compliance settings, and public cloud deprecated services. The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting skills, effective efficient communication skills, and the ability to work independently to research and resolve issues.

Essential Functions:

• Public Cloud Security: Work with local and global security stakeholders to assess the impact of new or changing security mandates on public cloud platforms and applications
• Security Maintenance: Deploy and maintain security patches, security tools, and ensure policy compliance for Windows and Linux servers.
• Application and Server Support: Install, configure, maintain, and support security applications & services on servers in public cloud environments.
• Operational Processes: Engineer and maintain operational processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and security.
• Engineering and Automation: Support the engineering, automation, and orchestration of systems for provisioning and maintenance processes using modern cloud tools and technologies, ensuring alignment with global and local requirements.
• Cloud Solutions Support: Utilize automation, orchestration, and deployment tools such as Terraform, PowerShell, Ansible, and Bash to support public cloud solutions.
• System Administration: Perform system administration tasks, including deployments, configuration, systems monitoring, troubleshooting, and support, with a focus on automating processes wherever possible.
• Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and resolve issues reported by monitoring systems and ticketing systems, fully documenting issues, actions taken, and steps for resolution.
• Professional Development: Stay current with industry’s best practices and security concepts through continuous professional development.
• Innovation: Suggest and implement improvements and share knowledge of new processes and technologies with the team.
• Communication: Effective efficient communication skills and the ability to tailor messages to various stakeholders
• Additional Tasks: Perform other tasks as defined, planned, and approved by leadership.

Experience Required:

• Cloud Environments: Strong understanding of Azure and AWS environments, including networking concepts.
• Cloud Services: Proven experience in provisioning, configuring, and maintaining cloud computing services such as Azure and AWS.
• Security Practices: Operational understanding of security best practices and standards around cloud computing and access management.
• Server Administration: Demonstrated experience in administering, monitoring, and maintaining both Microsoft and Linux server-based operating systems.

Educational Requirements:

• Degree: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Experience: 5+ years of relevant work experience in the IT field, or equivalent experience.
