Responsible for managing the design, development, and maintenance of data, analytics, artificial intelligence, and business intelligence for enterprise-wide functions. Ensure and oversee the day-to-day operations of the Cloud and other Data Platforms and oversee all platform, data, and technology operations within the Technology (IT) department. Ensure that data and platform offerings align with organizational strategy, drive operational efficiency, and support the organization’s vision in creating breakthrough models with advanced data and analytics capabilities. Play a critical role in leading digital transformation efforts, optimizing enterprise systems, and enhancing Technology service delivery to improve data literacy, maturity, and self-service business intelligence. Work closely with customers, colleagues, and other stakeholders to identify users’ platform, data, and technology requirements and seek out opportunities to improve business processes and support critical business strategies, while at the same time educating the work force in the strategic use of data and technology in the business. Plan and direct the activities of teams of analysts, solutions architects, quality control, data, and a variety of technology and business specialists who are aligned by business units and/or by functional department and working closely with customers and stakeholders to define requirements and design, develop, and implement corporate and business unit data and platform needs. Acts as a facilitator of multiple projects across multiple platforms and facilitate within the IT organization and with outside vendors for technology and service support required to meet customer needs for systems.

Position Accountabilities
Enterprise Data & Platform Management
- Collaborate with senior executive and business unit management, business technologists, the various Technology functional areas, and outside consultants to build enterprise data, technology, and platform portfolios that will serve business needs now and, in the future, and at an acceptable risk and cost
- Assess feasibility, determine costs versus benefits, prioritizing projects, and developing and implementing systems plans that address business information requirements and adhere to established strategic business and systems objectives
- Oversee the strategy, implementation, and optimization of all data platforms, including ERP, CRM, HRIS, DLC, Digital Products (eProducts) and other business-critical platforms
- Ensure data strategy and platform architecture supports scalability, security, and interoperability across the organization
- Partner with business leaders to enhance system capabilities, automate workflows, and improve data-driven decision-making
- Participate in the formulation of business system architecture plans, assessing cost of system requests, while ensuring the plan supports both strategic and immediate needs
- Implement business system plans, directing development, release, and maintenance of company data needs and models
- Integrate activities with business units and other IT departments to ensure the successful implementation and support of project efforts
Administrative and Operational Leadership
- Work with the finance department and various function managers to ensure project costs and schedules are properly estimated and controlled
- Collaborate with customers, vendors, industry consultants, and senior company management to define service levels
- Lead Enterprise Architecture functions to ensure standards are met, followed, and understood
- Establish and maintain IT service management (ITSM) best practices to ensure operational excellence and high service levels
- Monitor and improve user satisfaction by optimizing IT support processes and tools
- Implement proactive support strategies, including AI-driven automation and self-service business intelligence capabilities
Strategic Leadership and Digital Transformation
- Support the CDIO in defining and executing the organization’s strategy, with a focus on modernizing enterprise platforms, data, analytics, and business intelligence services
- Lead cross-functional teams to integrate emerging technologies, such as AI, automation, and cloud solutions, into enterprise systems
- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning within the IT department
- Serve as a key advisor to senior leadership on technology trends, risks, and opportunities
Responsibilities

- Knowledge of the company’s business practices and direction, as well as familiarity with the company’s products and resources
- Knowledge and experience in developing strategic information systems plans

Working Relationships
Internal:
- Reports to the CDIO in a peer-level relationship with the heads of the various functional areas of Technology; may have a dual reporting relationship with executive management
- Organizational Leader for all other Platform and Data positions
- Has regular contact with top management of business units, corporate executives, and Technology personnel on specific projects
- In the absence of the CDIO, acts as such in an interim capacity until return or replacement
External:
- Has contact with vendors, consultants, and contractors
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Business (or Management), Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline or equivalent work experience is required; a Master’s degree (or equivalent) is highly desired
- 15+ years of progressive IT leadership experience, including oversight of data operations, automation, artificial intelligence, and hybrid teams.
- 8+ years of experience in project management and execution involving multiple major development projects
- Proven experience in large-scale digital transformation, enterprise system modernization, and IT service management.
- Expertise in IT governance, compliance, cybersecurity, and risk management.
- Experience with ITIL frameworks, Agile methodologies, and cloud-first strategies.
- 5+ years of management experience in which one or more of the following has occurred:
- Demonstrated competency in strategic thinking and leadership with strong abilities in relationship management
- Successful development and implementation of data platforms and modeling in new computing architecture environments using emerging technologies
- A track record of managing technical staff through various life-cycle phases (cross-functional experience highly desirable)
- Demonstrated leadership of multidisciplinary, high-performance work teams/groups
- Experience managing financial resources to meet goals and multiple projects
- Developed efficient and effective solutions to diverse and complex business problems
- Preferred Certifications: ITIL, PMP, TOGAF, CISSP, or other relevant certifications.
- Good understanding of the impact of corporate and business unit applications on the systems management and customer support requirements of the enterprise.
